I just did a top end rebuild on my 570 and it went in very smoothly. Upon trying to start it the engine made horrible scraping noises and loud knocking. After pulling it apart, I discovered that my new piston had wear marks in the piston coating and then noticed the connecting rod would hardly budge. FML. So I called the guys at rev6 and they are now sending me a bottom end kit to fix it. I also ordered the clutch removal tool and fly wheel removal tool off Amazon

Oddly, someone had put in gear oil in the crankcase to cover up the knocking. What a piece of crap.
I agree. Rev6 parts are pretty reasonable and I'm in the process of getting it rebuilt. Hopefully the crank will be here in a couple days
Oh yea, I’ve been done for awhile. Took it to Moab and did some very fun riding. Pretty straightforward rebuild other than the crank had to be pressed into the case
