Hi all. Since nobody has posted in the old thread for a few months, I thought I'd start a fresh one. If you ride anywhere in Utah, post here. If you ride weekly, like I do, post here where you like to ride and when. I'm heading out to Knolls tomorrow (05/13). Did 5 mile pass last sunday. Way too dry and dusty for me. Once all of that white stuff is gone, I'll be back in the mountains. I like AF canyon, Bountiful, Mantua. Always looking for new places. I have some Google Earth .kmz files from the rides I did last year from my gps if anyone is interested.

Looks pretty quiet on here. I'm a new owner looking for "local" day rides...Wasatch and Salt Lake valley areas. Would like to see any trail rides you're willing to share. We don't get out every week, but would like to get at least twice a month, but hard now without knowing where to go. Where is Knolls?

I live in Grantsville and ride up in the mountains behind my hose right from my driveway mostly. I just finished the break in period and would like to step up some of places we go. So the only places I have taken the RZR4 so far are the trails and raods up behind the Grantsville resivoir and one day at Jerhico. Looking for some people to go ride with.

Send a PM or post up on here if you would like some company on any upcoming rides.

I'm moving to SLC in a month and I'll be down to ride whenever... I know nothing about the area or where to ride, so finding people on here to ride with will be nice.

No problem finding places to ride, you can look at the maps at stateparks.utah.gov . Is your ride made by an armored car company? LOL that is one good cage.:rofl3:

I love AF canyon, espically the rock garden. Did 5 mile pass and it was pretty dusty and ended up going up pretty high in the mountaines where there was still snow. Just got back from Kill Pecker Sand dunes In Rock Springs. Planning on going back to Kill Pecker on the 4th for 6 days if anybody wants to go hit me up and I can give you directions.

Do you have wife and kids??

Little Sahara is about 2 hrs away
Little Sahara Recreation Area

Lots of riding and camping in Jerhico UT just outside of Little sahara

Moab is about 4 hrs away, here is a link to the Rally on the rocks sites trail ratings for Moab
Trails/Ratings | Rally on the Rocks

Strawberry resivoir area is little over an hour away
Daniels Summit / Strawberry Reservoir ATV Trails

I can go on and on, there are soooooo many places to ride in UT
The above is not even the tip of the iceberg.
Hope this gives you some ideas

I live in Draper, ride all over the place in Utah. This weekend I'm going to the dunes with the family. Not my favorite place, but we usually go once a year.

Headed to skyline drive in a few weeks, also have Bryce Canyon, Paiute Trail, and Kolob Canyon on the list of places this summer we will be going.

I live in Bluffdale. As mentioned earlier, 5 mile pass is really dusty...rode just South of there this past Monday. I've rode AF Canyon, it is good. I've also rode the Uintas, Fairview Canyon (one of my personal favorites), Stockton/Ophir Canyon, Wendover, Utah, Moab & the nearby Manti LaSalles) I've heard there are some great trails East and North of Bountiful and also around Logan that I'd like to try sometime.

Jay thanks for the info.... And I can't wait to get there, get settled and learn where these places are...

No wife and no kids... Single.... I'm being stationed in SLC (Murray to be exact) with the Army. I just don't know anything about SLC and am trying to find somewhere to live close to work, with easy access to the main Snowboarding MTNS, and close to moutian biking trails....
Once I figure that out, get there and get settled in..... I can focus on riding.

We will be in Moab July 18 for a week. We are bringing 3 rzr 4's two xp's and my 800. This will be my second trip up there last year was a blast. We have been waiting all year to make the trip again...

I agree, I like the mountain wooded trails the most. My wife and I enjoy going somewhere, set the truck as a way point in the GPS and go. Then when we get to options we say "lets see where that goes" The dunes are fun for a little while.
Just my 2 cents.

I rode up American Fork Canyon Thursday. Nice ride up and over to Midway. I think its going to be a dry, hot dusty summer this year. Nothing like last year. So I think I'll stick to the mountain trails. I enjoy bountiful up to francis peak, Mantua to Eden or up to Willard peak is an easy ride. I've ridden a lot on the Paiute trails too. Before it gets too hot I'll run out to Knolls or even Delle just to get my desert kick. I try to go every weekend so if someone is out riding, post where. If this sunday doesn't look too scorchingly hot, I'll head out to Knolls.

My wife and I are going Sat near Dugway to go out and find the wild horses and take some pictures. We have always wanted to go track them down out there. If we find some I will post up the pics.

Went for a ride Saturday out by the Dugway Army Base. We got attacked by grasshoppers. Wish I had a windshield, if anyone want to know what a 2 inch long grasshopper feels like hitting you in the adams apple at 40 plus mph just let me know. When we stopped for a break I was removing grasshoppers from the back floor boards by the handfull. Other than that a great day and a great ride. Saw lots antelope and I think I mentioned the grasshoppers.

Going riding again this Sat. I am on a mission to find some wild horses out here west of SLC. I am going to try a new area west of Skull Valley this time. I will post up some pics if we find some horses.
