i cannot get the self threading screws to start in the holes in the front for mounting, its just stripping the threads of the bolt, both bolts are ruined, anybody else ran into this problem?should i contact polaris and make them aware of this problem or what, the direction say start it by hand but thats way impossible,i couldnt even get it to start using a air ratchet applying force trying to push it in.

Sounds like the bolts are softer than the bumper mount. You may have to use a real tap. Should be 1/4"-20.

Or just use a bolt that will fit through the hole. use some lock washers and nuts.
x2 drill it out and use a real bolt.....and while you're at it, if you want to keep your radiator intact, install a radiator brace.

One slam and the Polaris bumper caves the radiator. :rollfinger:

LOL -- I did the same thing. However, I had already been through that senario with the Polaris Crawl Bars .. stripped them all. I then went to the local COMMERCIAL bolt supplier and bought REAL self-threading bolts and they went right through the Polaris metal.

But it is scary .. with the hood off .. look straight down and the bolts are soooo close, I can't even get my finger between them and the radiator. Just a matter of time before I have a matching pair of bolt holes in the radiator.

Hence the Thunderhawk brace. It moves the impact point from the radiator mount to the frame.

I just installed one. It was touch-and-go, but I got it to thread with a lot of pressure.

This radiator brace is not available for the 2011 RZR. Thunderhawk is working on a new one for the '11. I'm getting one for sure.
