2011 HID replacements

Just picked up my '11 today...
Anyone know if the 2010 light sockets are the same on the 2011's. I had them in my 2010 when it was stolen, and am now looking to add them to my 2011...If they aren't the same, where could I get some that'll work?

Thanks,

I like the hi/lo option. Once I adjusted the headlight housings the lo beam focuses closer in front of the machine for slow rock crawling and the high beam further out for hauling A**! O-Ring knows he wanted hi/lo! :rofl3:
I think with the pains of the extra wiring, I'm gonna just go with the single beams. and then add a set of baja lights to the front bumper if I need it.
Yup. I have HID's, plus some PIAA beams, plus a Rigid 30" LED Lightbar.
So anybody done the single beam h13 kit on a 2011, is it plug and play like the kits for the 2010 model?
I'll let you know soon.
Finally got a few pictures together of the DDM dual beam kit for the 2011 RZR. It has alot of wires to deal with.

Dammit man! WTH? that looks a lil difficult to figure out. Just how hard was it?
$65 for 55w Hi/Low package for a 2011 - that's very tempting!
Does this wire up to the stock hi/low switch or does it have its own?

Wasn't hard just time consuming figuring it out and running all the wires. The kit plugs into one and only one of the factory plugs. The other factory plug is not used and just hangs there. You will also have to run a wire to the battery and a ground. The kit is well made but has alot of wires to deal with. We started to cut the wires to make them shorter but decided against it.
What exactly did you order for the 2011 and where did you order it from? Thanks

Isn't there single beam H13 bulbs? I ordered the 880s too. If I get single H13, Im sure I will lose the Hi beam.
Yes there is an H13 single beam. I installed the H13 dual beam and I still have HI and LO beam and both HI and LO are 55 watt output it just changes the position of the bulb (reflection) as you toggle between Hi and Lo.

Damn... clean install:icon_thumleft:. I will be re arranging my setup next time I'm up home!
Hey O-Ring,
How did you run the wire to the battery and where did you decide to ground the wires?

I know this isn't directed at me, but I have mine haggardly rigged up to the battery terminals now (quick install before a long night poker run) but hate how the relay and fuse is way back there. I don't know if you have a winch, but when I get back home and re do mine I am going to tie mine into my winch solenoid on the hot and ground wires to: not only shorten up the span of the wiring harness, but to keep two additional wires away from the front drive shaft.

If you don't have a winch, it really wouldn't be a bad idea to run some sort of generic terminal block up to the firewall to tie accessories into. You would only have two heavy gauge wires stretched to your battery and it would really clean up a jumble of wired on heavy electronic installations. Just my ideas though... As long as its lighting off, rig 'em up how ever you like!

Use a H13 bulb for a 2005 or newer Dodge truck they have the high/low beam for the dodge stock replacement.
Has anybody gone with the 55w hid kits? I read on ddm's site that the 55w are not recomended for small light housings.. Any problems with the bulbs getting too hot? I dont know to go with the 55 or 35

Other people on the forum claim no problems with 55w. I can't personally speak from experience, but I plan to go with 55w when I purchase a set. I have a 2011 so I'm still on the fence of whether to get the single beam or the HI/LOW kit.
Im just going with the single beam.. i have an hid kit in my truck and i hardly ever use high beams. plus its less wiring
Seems like the single beam would be less to break too. For those with the 55W kit, are you having any heat issues? Also, what color temp did you go with. Seems most with the 35W kits are going with 5000k but I think you have to go up in temp with the 55W to maintain the same color, anyone know if this is correct?

Ok, after some reading, according to the DDM site a 55W 8000K color will look the same as a 35W 6000K color. So, what color did you folks with 55W go with?
One more thing, do you need the HID harness or error eliminator cable?

you dont need the error cable at all, that is for bmw's, the extra harness is not needed but suggested, but if you buy the high low kit it comes with the harness because it is required with a extra relay to toggle hi to low. hope this helps.
