If jiggling it fixed it, then it won't be long until it unfixes itself.
I just did some searching, and this thing is mentioned in about 30 threads, but amazingly, nobody has bothered to post a picture of the damn thing. So I went out and took a picture of mine.
It is under the CVT cover behind the driver's seat. You have to remove the maintenance panel behind the seat to get to it. Picture below.
Remove the plug, clean the blades and the plug. Maybe put some dielectric grease on there and put it back together. If you jumper it to take the switch out of the equation, your brake lights will stay on all of the time and melt your lenses.
Some people move this wire up away from this area so it does not get muddy and wet, and install their own switch. Putting in a hidden switch can be a security measure, but will only stop dumb thieves.
