Ok my Rzr has been sitting for about 4 months, it has been on a trickle charge the whole time I went out today to go for a ride since weather is nicer, I turn the key and i hear the fuel pump come on but it will not turn over. Is there a fuse somewhere that could be the problem, or does anyone else have any ideas?

Not cranking no sound at all

I would get a volt meter and first check battery voltage,a good battery should read around 12.3 volts,if good then check your starter relay behind the drivers seat, check for voltage at the terminal with cable going to the battery, and check the other terminal while turning your key to start, you should get voltage there,if not you may have a faulty brake switch

i will go and see if the brake lights come on i am not sure, if they do i will try the relay option tomorrow when i can pick one up, is there a fuse anywhere that would affect this also?

ok brake light do not come on, what engine panel are you talking about, is this brake switch a easy fix or do i have to buy a new one

So mostly all this feature is a saftey switch so you dont start it in gear I take it without the brakes applied

You can see the switch in front of the drivers side rear wheel, but I feel it is easier to access it from the panel you pull out to check oil. Look down behind the drivers seat. There is only one switch down there. It is a flat wire plug, simply pull it off, clean connections and reinstall it. If that doesn't work, make a short 6 inch wire with 2 male spade connectors. Insert it into the plug. NO voltage here, you are simply making a circuit complete. The brake lights will come on and stay on. The machine will start in ANY GEAR, WITHOUT YOUR FOOT ON THE BRAKE PEDAL! Use caution. Get back to us.

Ok dont know which connector it was but i jiggled 3 and now it starts

If jiggling it fixed it, then it won't be long until it unfixes itself.

I just did some searching, and this thing is mentioned in about 30 threads, but amazingly, nobody has bothered to post a picture of the damn thing. So I went out and took a picture of mine.

It is under the CVT cover behind the driver's seat. You have to remove the maintenance panel behind the seat to get to it. Picture below.

Remove the plug, clean the blades and the plug. Maybe put some dielectric grease on there and put it back together. If you jumper it to take the switch out of the equation, your brake lights will stay on all of the time and melt your lenses.

Some people move this wire up away from this area so it does not get muddy and wet, and install their own switch. Putting in a hidden switch can be a security measure, but will only stop dumb thieves.
