Check your plugs and or wires.
Also check the wires at the coil behind your driver seat- maybe popped off there or at the motor.

 

Thanks for the info, Total Loss. After the ride we checked the connections at the coil and could only get to the plug closest to the passanger's seat. Everything looked fine. We're stumped.

 

You are going to have to pull the plugs and check for spark.
When you pull them you should be able to tell which one is not firing- it will be black and go from there.

Never done it with the bed on.
Maybe someone else has.

Definately sounds like a loose electrical connection though.
I would check all connections.

Or maybe you broke a spark plug?

 

remove the seat and pull the plug off the ecu and put it back in, might help

Take it to the dealer and let them figure it out if you can't find the issue next go around. I'd leave out the part about jumping violently out of a rut.

Thanks, Funride, for the info. I couldn't sleep at all last night thinking about this, so I got up early this morning determined to solve the issue before I headed to the shop. I almost got my arm stuck between the exhaust manifold and the brace for the bed, but was able to barely get my fingers to the spark plugs and VOILA! The plug wire on the aft plug was laying on the head. After a good five minutes of wrangling my forearm out of the S, I decided to get some Dielctric first and clean both plug wires first before reassembly. Thanks to all for your assistance, and Funride DO NOT look into the eyes of the avatar too long as you will suffer an epileptic seizure. :devil3:

Its usually the easy fix.

 

I just started my 2008 RZR and it sounds like it is running on 1 cylinder... When I parked it , it was fine... I hope it is nothing major...Any advice on what to check 1st?

 

same thing as the last guy, check for spark and go from there

 

thewinner, I'd start by checking all the connections I can get to. If it was fine when you parked it and now it isn't, it sounds like moisture and/or corrosion in a connector someplace.
