So the specs for the 2010 RZR include a hand actuated parking brake,,, Has anyone seen one or a picture of one yet?

I would like to see one also. I am going to my dealer on Tuesday and am going to ask if the new brake is adaptable to the other years' models and if the '10 has the same "HO" engine as the S. I'll let you know what they have to say.

Nope no separate parking brake for the RZR fo '10 and no HO motor in the 50" RZR either.
Sorry to dissapoint. Parking brake has never seemed to be a problem to me. The '10 standard RZR does advertise a 60mph top speed however.

No parking break is fine untill you have to park on a hill then you need a whinch to get out of park.

Yep, dealer looked at me like I had a third eye when I mentioned parking brake. He also said that he was told of no change to the engines on the standard Rzr either. He said that one of the engineers said that they removed the spacer. So that being said, they make me a heck of a deal on mine. Brought her home today.

On edit: I told him about reading about the hand brake on the website and when he looked it up, the link was bad, kept taking him to the Outlaw page. Figures.

go on the polaris website in the 2010 section RZR section goto the dimensions section and it says Hand-Actuated parking brake not N/A so there is hope and hopefully they put better quality springs on it too and yes the spacer is removed also to make it 60mph

I think the one that is on mine works great. Granted, it costs 130 bucks, but it works and is unobtrusive. The terrain we ride you need a park brake. We ride some extreme terrain and steep hills and sometimes you have to jump out and help someone (spotting). It helps that your vehicle does not roll down the mountain while doing this.

Dealers don't always know whats going on. I'm pretty sure the 2010 has a brake. The 09s say N/A under praking brake. 2010s say Hand-Actuated. As far as the motors I don't think anyone ever said they put the HO in the standard. That wouldn't make since for both the S and standard to have the HO. I think the HO in the LE models would be nice. But really your only talking 3 HP more so. Hight Output might be over stating it a bit lol

I'm using one. It is somewhat expensive, but it works perfect and looks factory. It's a must if you ask me. After a few hard shifts out of park, the $130 didn't seem so bad.

If your talking about the one that just locks the pedal down I considered it. But it cost like a 130 bucks. I decided to just cut a piece of pipe and wedge it between the pedal and dash.. Someone on here also came up with a cable connected to the pedal and steering wheel so when you tilt the wheel all the way up it pushes the brake. Wishful thinking I guess, But I was thinking maybe Polaris would offer a retro fit kit at a decent price considering pretty much EVERYONE says the RZR needs one and should have came with one stock..

BTW my RZR in the shop as we speak because my shifter cable is screwed up. The welds on the bracket that holds the cable at the shifter broke. The guy said it was probably from shifting it hard.. I told him it was probably from trying to get it out of park lol. They replaced the cable, but I have to reweld the bracket. I'm sure no parking break caused the issue. Or at the very least added to it..

Have the same system but bought mine early on and cost less. I love it no more worrying about trying to park on a flat area or sideways on the hill.

So, is there any confirmation on the parking brake yet? The
Polaris website states there is a hand actuated brake parking
brake, but my dealer says he did not see one on the 2010
and that it was not brought up at the dealer show. I need
confirmation before I decide which one to get.

I also have the $130 hand brake, works great. You can park anywhere. It also has the advantage of being able to start the engine without stepping on the foot brake if the hand brake is engaged. It was well worth the price. The Polaris website did state there is a hand actuated brake on the 2010 model.
