I recently traded for a 2008 rzr 800. Being I'm a disabled veteran I needed to get off the 2 wheel toys "dirt bikes". I'm wanting to have something I can enjoy with the family. The guy I bought it from said he was just riding it and it shut down. he replaced the injectors and cps. now I realize now they were cheap amazon parts but by the manual the cps ohm's out fine. I replaced the fuel pump and it is spraying great out the injectors strong. battery Is strong. it will turn over and just spit and sputter like it is out of time. I have pulled the valve cover off and there is no loose rocker arms or bent push rods. Im just looking for some advice I don't want to just throw parts at it hoping they fix it. I have read about a relay that might be causing the issue but I don't know where to look. any help will greatly be appreciated.

If you have weak compression you can waste a lot of time and money thowing parts at it with no good results. Start with the basic and work out from there. Check compression first.

Usually the engine just free wheels with no compression when the lifters pump. You have to wait a few minutes then it will start and if you don't hit the gas it will continue to run until the oil warms enough so as to not pump the lifters. At idle these engines do not have enough oil pump to over pressure.

Right not its at the point of almost running but it won't stay running kinda sounds like valves are out of adjustment. I read the prv can hold the valves open enough but the compression was good so I'm lost

Not likely a valve timing issue since they are gear driven. How fresh is the gas? Have you checked the sensor in the intake, It could be dirty and causing your issue. I have a known good crank sensor if you are near or I could just mail it to you instead of buying one and not needing it.
