Ok, here is where it gets good & where I found out these things aren’t very tough.

My Target:
675186

If you can’t tell, these boulders were hidden behind the brush. I was also driving into the sun. Completely came from nowhere. At least to me. 😂 45 into one of these bad boys gonna be a bad day.
675187

Trust me, it doesn’t look bad “yet”.
Got a lot more pics of the details of damage. This isn’t the end of the story tho. I’m actually far on the rebuild. Got a lot of pics & details of tearing this thing down.

I do have a day job tho. So until later….

Man that sucks. Gotta say hitting an object that weighs close to 2X what your machine weighs at 45 mph doesn’t necessarily mean your machine isn’t tough. Did you drive away from it? Hard to tell in the pic.

I drove it away, hard to keep straight tho. Can’t express how good a bumper is for these machines. Frame was ruined.

I was thankfully solo on this ride.

Ya 10-4. I expect most machines would be beat down after that. Sometimes it’s a roll of the dice. Although in this example physics appears to have got ya. Insurance?? You rebuilding?

I am rebuilding, I actually got the full front end about done on it. Just waiting on a bracket for the front diff. I got a ton of pics & details about the teardown & rebuild. I’ll be posting them later. A lot of chromoly & billet. 😎

Bumper saved my radiators

Right side was caved in about an inch on the frame.

This was pretty much when I said I would throw the frame in the trash.

It hit it just right to make the front twist back & up.

That's why I welded in gussets across all the frame joints and the frame halves together on mine. They are prone to flex at the joint.
I’ve been debating on welding the bungs together to make it solid.

Just on the fence about if I want to weld new ones on if this were to occur again.
