Hello,

I have a 18 RZR XP 1000 Highlifter and I'm looking to purchase the rear receiver hitch that fits with the Polaris rear bumper #2880560-458.

When I go to your website I see that you have a specific kit available for my model RZR but then you ask about the Optional "High Clearance Radius Rods". Is there two types of Radius Rods sold on the 18 RZR XP 1000 Highlifter?

Thanks!

Short Answer - No, there are not two types of Polaris-brand radius rods for your 2018 High Lifter RZR.

Longer Answer - Because the website must cover all models of XP 1000 & XP Turbo, from 2014-2018, we have to include the option box for owners of RZR's that were equipped with straight radius rods and later added the Polaris-brand high clearance radius rods. When an owner of a High Lifter, Gold Matte LE or Trails & Rocks edition RZR orders on our website, the part number is for their machine with factory-installed high clearance radius rods. With these models, whether you choose that you have the optional Polaris rods or not the website is set-up to specify the correct part number for your specific model and year of RZR with the factory-installed high clearance radius rods. Owners of machines that were originally equipped with straight radius rods will get a different part number hitch when they choose the option for Polaris-brand high clearance radius rods.

PS: If you think this explanation is long and difficult to follow, trust me when I tell you that setting-up the website to account for every change made by Polaris was no picnic. But, we do have our website set-up to assure that you do get the correct hitch for your year and model of RZR when you select from the available options.

Hello Harry,

No that answer is perfect and makes complete sense.

Thanks for taking the time to clarify that.
