So as it says it will be a series of them and full work up. I got to spend some time in mine riding with an xp1k, watching some others, etc etc. what was a real eye opener is this past spring I got the pleasure of meeting up w rzr joe down in windrock. His 4 seat on portals etc was absolutely amazing to watch tackling trails. Btw, just bc it screams $50k doesnt mean that he wont drive it like he stole it. I still have videos on my phone of him waking over things that others struggled on. I had to really bump a section that he walked over.
So any way, to sum it up, there will be a full stretch write up. Taking into account the one built by satv and their writeup, Ill do mine a lil bit different. It will be a full 4 seat length. Ill try to post every video log which should include the cut points, measurements, parts w PN’s, cost, and so on. Been in contact with @SuperATV to start lining out parts and get them ordered. Since im only a cpl hrs away from them Im also gonna try to make a visit and see theirs first hand. Maybe pick up some of my parts while there.
The link is for my small tube channel where I bring my channel up to date with all thats gone on this year, future projects (bluetooth riding comms and more) and discuss a little about the stretching and even mention my full glass front windshield mounted directly to my cage. Yes joe, its the only way to go imo.
So there will be more to come. Stay tuned.

Channel Update with projects. Stretching RZR RS1, Electric Chopper, bluetooth Comms, and more!

If you are stretching it you should go turbo s width. All the turbo s stuff is pretty much bolt on (a arms, trailing arms, radius rods, axles) Would really give you some stability with that length of a 4 seater and the stock stuff is cheap and pretty beefy. But definitely look forward to watching the build progress!

It's almost direct bolt on. Front a arm needs trimming ever so slightly vat the pivot point and then shimmed. To do the swap you need the following

A arms, trailing arms, radius rods, all 4 axles, rear bearing knuckles, custom steering tie rods, turbo s front brake hoses, drill arm bolt holes to 12mm, stock rs1 shocks and rear sway bar work just fine but springs and valving recommended. As stated there is a couple threads now on this exact swap and it has been done.

Well jacks, I will probly pick your brain some as well since im not in a position to just stare at one thats been done. Now I will say that mine will differ slightly from yours in that I done the 33% in the trans and ordered the 4” portals (today) w the 30% reduction.
As for the turbo S stuff bolting to an ts1 theres a couple of threads. Its not a direct bolt but it can be done with a lil time. Theres an rs1 out west running 72 wide already and i believe dbrs1 was playing around with it.

ill have to ask @RZR_Joe what his reductions and portals are.

as of today I heard no word from Erik after a while so I had to jump on the bandwagon to ise the 10% satv was offering today.

as of today i have ordered
Satv Turbo s 4 seat prop w carrier U series
Rear high clearance trailing arms
Satv heavy duty ball joints super duty 300m
4x 35” tires warrior xt
2 rear rhino 2.0’s to make all 4 the same
And of course the 4” portals w 30% reduction.
Ups/fedex is gonna hate me.
So look forward to a video detailing parts etc and the plans to get things rolling. Just dripped $6k and not even done so its gonna have to be a go!

It can be done for under 1000 bucks with all used oem parts. That's 1/4 the price of long travel or even mid travel. Do a search and u will find the thread. I think it was about a year ago back in the rs1 section. They guy lives in arizona if I remember correctly because I have talked with him outside the forums.

I didn't find the thread, just some dead end ones.... including one from you.

Seems like minimal effort for an rs1, but not promising on an xp, unless you do a good amount of fabbing. Also unclear on shocks. If xp shocks can't be used, it's a no go for me, as i have already invested in ST RC2s.

Xp pro I've heard it will work but haven't confirmed. Regular xp1k or turbo no it won't work. Stock shocks will work. Lower mount is larger on a turbo s so a weld washer would need to be welted onto trailing arms and a arms if you wanted it correct. But shock lengths are very close the same. The guy in arizona was running all stock rs1 shocks with his turbo s suspension swap

I have been away from the forum working on my new ifs rock buggy. This is my rs1 with a turbo S complete arms bolted on. The upper front a-rm tabs will need pried wider then on bolt up they stay in place. The rear hubs will have to be swapped to turbo hubs. The stock shocks and springs surprisingly were much better on the turbo s arms than the rs1 arms.
Soffened up the harsh ride . But did adjust the compression knobs.. this car now is stupid stable and smokes most buggies on the trails in JV. "I Have/own 4ws buggies to prove it. My new IFS portal buggy will beat it but at a cost of 100k pluss

Looks awesome!
I think your rear shock guards are on backwards though

I wish it was that simple to do turbo s arms on an xp

Yeah, rear guards need to be turned around unless you put them like thst for a reason. Looks like a sweet ride

Why exactly do the resr hubs need to be swapped out for turbo s hubs? Is it for clearance or something?

Well here goes part 1. Some notes:
-Discuss small prox for auto reverse lights
-Also cover some of the parts from @satv
-And theres a section that i discuss a sandcraft steering stabilizer and trying to get them to send me a “kit” to try and make one for an RS1. We shall see how that goes.
-cheap/decent backup cam for sxs’s
And more I probly forgot.
Big shout out to RZR_Joe for the help this far, before this is done, Im gonna run up his phone bill lmao.

DIY RZR RS1 Stretch PART 1. SATV Portals, Sandcraft stabilizer, reverse lights, storage, and more!

Not sure but this may need moved to the custom buggy/builds section? Kinda grey area on that one.
Maybe call it “R2D2”
Or still call it “1UP” but on the passenger door put “The extra life” lol
Maybe go Military- OD green and black. Driver door “driver” passenger door “commander” bc we all know the commander gets their own driver in the service.
Still working on Name/Theme.
got a reply from sandcraft, waiting on owners to come back from the holidays and see if we get a green light to try the stabilizer.
stay tuned!

Quite a bit has gone on, I have chipped away at this and even some of it I have on video to upload. To condense, as it sits right now, I have the wire harness extended as of yesterday and by the weeks end I will have two pieces of a frame! No turning back now.
I got couple days off coming up so I’ll try to get an update video posted, won’t be much but dismantle and some “gotcha” stuff that ive run Into. SATV has got a couple sneak peeks at it.

I’m just going to upload the videos to YouTube this week in order and minimize the editing since that’s what’s taking too much time and preventing me from posting.

I know I know, sounds like excuses. But, at least youtube has a skip forward and back option.

Side question for those that may know and can verify. My understanding is that the 4 seat is 117” from center of hub to center of hub. Can anyone else verify this so if true I can make some sort of hub jig and then be able to make measurements.

And here we are, Part 2. didnt destroy as much in this one. There are a few gotcha points here and there but I did speed up most of it to make it more of a time lapse. The only places that are in normal speed are the ones with information. other than that I just look like im on drugs o_O running around at 90 mph lmao!
