170 Running great with Vent Upgrade

Upgraded the kids 170 today with the Vent Intake. Swapped out the jets in the Carb with the ones they included. Wow this thing starts and runs better.

Before the upgrade it was a PIA to get this thing to idle and stay running until it warmed up.
Now, after the upgrade it actually starts and idles like the RzrS.

I will say its a bit louder with the intake up there closer to the ears but not to bad. Just gotta redo the basket mount so it clears the filter.
Also decided it was a good time to completely remove the throttle stop screw. Just removed the 3 allen head bolts, slid the pedal to the left and pulled it all the way out. Might get me an extra .5mph now if were lucky.
Now if I can get the kids back from Grandmas house maybe we can try these new mods out.

My Vent kit turned up the other day and I dropped it off to the Polaris Dealer to fit. The amazing thing was that the dealer could't get the engine to rev and idle smoothly until he installed the kit!! He was so impressed he asked me to give him the prices I paid so he could reccomend the upgrade on all 170's he sells.

Really impressed, thanks Vent.

PS: They installed the Vent Intake, Exhaust, Jet Kit and filter for the engine cooling system.

what size jets would you need if your down south ? can you get a jet kit for the 170 yet

I ran with the jets that Vent supplied as well.

I just used the ones that came with it and it works great. I am no expert on them so I'm glad they worked.

No idea on HP. Its worth it just for the Easy starting and the relocated filter. Its a bit louder when your riding it but not really any louder outside the 170.

Is the aftermart pipes any louder than stock don't want a real loud exhaust

I have to admit that the Vent Exhaust is way louder than I expected, not complaining, just informing others. I have a ride coming up soon where they test exhaust noise so I will let you know the Db reading.

Thanks for all the support on that intake. It has been a fun product for us to sell! We have some cool stuff coming out for the 170 that is just near being done. I will keep you all posted as things progress.
