Yes it's true... Our Bilstein package is set up to run and maintain the 14" of stock travel from the factory with the addition of our external shock body extensions. Unlike the stock shocks which are only 7", the Bilsteins are a true 8" travel shock which allows for more travel.

You will have to do a few things to make the additional travel happen.... First, you will need to jump up in tire size from the stock 26". Second, you will need to remove our external extension to achieve full compression of the shock. Lastly, you will need to change the springs out to accommodate the new found travel and not have the springs go into coil bind. This will give you a full 2" of additional travel, which is a huge increase.

We now offer the Bilsteins in two styles. We have the non reservoir style that has proven to work very well and hold up to punishment and are great for the hard core enthusiast. We actually have a few racers racing with them and like the performance. We have now added a Schrader valve that allows you to fine tune the shock by varying the nitrogen level. This also makes the shock easy to upgrade to remote reservoirs, if and when the time comes.

We are now offering a remote reservoir style ready to go, so if reservoirs are what you want we have them for you.

No hype here, just simply a shock built by the company that revolutionized the sport of off road racing. Bilstein has won more championships than any other shock company and are the OEM supplier to every major automotive manufacturer in Europe. Here in the US if you buy a truck with an off road package chances are it will include Bilsteins.

We have them in stock and ready to go!!!!!!

I bought the regular Bilstein's a year ago and love them!!!! I remember Mark telling me about the upgrade. I am about to go to a 30" DOT rated tire for road use, looks, and better performance over horns. Since I am doing this I would like details on what I need to do and a price on how much it would cost me to upgrade.

I am assuming I remove the spring and the yellow bushing yall made, and then just install the new springs, or is there more involved??

Thanks!!!!!

Not much more than that. Remove the yellow shock body extension, purchase the taller springs (16") with the same rates. The current valving should do alright, but after you get it set up if you need any changes give us a shout.
