Going to be staying at Pirates Cove near Needles, CA April 1st & leaving April 5th. Going up to Laughlin for the World UTV Championships on Thursday the 4th & check it out. May head up to Laughlin Friday & stay a couple days or head down around Quartzite, AZ area for a couple days before heading home on Sunday the 7th. We have been to Pirates Cove before so know that area ok. Any help around Laughlin or Quartzite for places to camp & ride would be appreciated.

Head North or South of town Quartzsite on main roads, there are hundreds if not thousands of acres of desert you are allowed to camp and most free. Can't help you much on riding only went out in a Jeep but we saw trails going everywhere. We camped North of town on BLM land paid $40 for two weeks, they have water and dump station.

I live in the Laughlin/ Bullhead area. If you are going to stay there for a night or 2, there is a 'AVI Resort and Casino'. It's a pretty nice place (a lot of places to eat, movie theater, a beach by the river, and a very large pool with nice scenery. The casino has a free dry camping area. It's just across the river from Fort Mohave (Az.), on Aztec Rd. Easy to get to from the 95 hwy. if you are coming from Needles. From the casino, taking the backway to Laughlin (from Veterans Parkway to the Needles Hwy), it's only about 10 miles to the race site, and not much traffic. The weather is really nice right now. Nights in the 60's, and days in the 80's. I hope this helps you a bit, and you have a great time.
