2016 possible turbo rebuild

I'll know more by the weekend once i do a compression check and clean it up. but i fear to have lost the oil seals in the turbo this weekend in the dunes...I'm hoping it's that and not rings.

Anyway; I know there is a few options but what is everyone having luck with my RZR is a Stage 4R by EVO. I stumbled on a thread some time ago can can not seem to find it so I wanted to start a new one.

Thank you for the space/help.

If your turbo is toast, I would go with Mike at Aftermarket Assassins with his "Big Turbo stage 4" tune......

Hands down best customer service out there !!!!!

And I won a local race here in Washington against a EVO stage 4 RZR and a EVO stage 5 E85 X3.....

Im running BMP weights 4.5/4.5/2 at 8600rpm and my custom cut helix from BDX, with MSA M21 wheels and 30" Pro Armors ( HEAVY stuff and still faster then the competition ;-)

Pro armor sand shoes do bite hard. Curious if they would pull top speed down some from how tall they are though lol

I bailed on my EVO Stage 4r a good while back. Not going to bash anyone but I pulled all my EVO stuff off and went with all Aftermarket Assassins products. Im running Mike's Stage 4, S3 clutching and Bikeman compressor wheel mod. My clutch setup is 3,0,0 with AA performance helix, Blue/Green Primary spring and OSP Teal Big Tire secondary spring. I am more than pleased with the outcome. It was a big pill to swallow by starting over but in the end I'm very happy with it. We are about to do a redo on my friends '18 Dynamix. He's already running AA Stage 4/5 and he's got the AA turbo ready to go as soon as we stud it. Both of ours are stupid fast!

Re: 2016 possible turbo rebuild

I'm not thinking about dropping evo tuning yet; I have. But they run pretty hard and still have some of the fastest cars out there. I have no issues with my tuning... my issue is it's pushing oil....

I have talked to a few people and it has to be turbo seals, piston rings....or when I dune I am a "flat footer" and just stay in it and the oil never gets to settle any and it's loading/pushing it that way out the BOV and into the charge pipe. Either way I hope it's not ringlands...I have seen the 16 XPTs get way more abuse than I have dealt it... heck I don't think i'm but just shy of 400 miles since last year it was parked most of the year.
