hard to shift after new spider

I took mine in a few months ago for the recall/TSB. They installed the new spider. I brought it home and it wouldn't shift at all because the transmission was spinning ( I had to kill it so I could shift). I took it back and they replaced a couple of bearings. It no longer has to be shut off to shift but still very hard to shift compared to my Ranger and General. Anybody else had this issue?

Sounds like your stock primary spring has sagged a little bit over time and has the belt under too much tension. When I replaced primary and secondary clutches I had this same exact issue until I got the primary spring weight right. Couldn't shift unless I shut it off. If you can't get it fixed at the dealer they make spring shims in 1/16" increments.

Very inexpensive and 1/16" is all it took to make all the difference in my case. Good to go now
