Clutch/Belt Help needed

16 Turbo 2 Seat, 3,000 miles, stock with 30" crawlers.
Ordered a BMP stage 2 clutchkit and tried multiple magnet settings and could not seem to get a good running setup. Belt slipped constantly trying to pull out easy in high, and if I run it hard it would really slip. If machine was in low and in a bind it would slip. Now I have put everything back to complete stock and it still slips in the same manner. We was thinking the belt was wore out so i got a brand new OEM belt today and it still does the same. Suggestions/input? Thanks guys!

Very interesting. I'm not going to be much help but like to see what others have to say. I'm about to install this setup in mine as well. Whatbweight configs have your tried? You swap the primary and secondary springs as well?

Yes, swapped both springs, tried 4-2-0, 4-1-0, 4-1-1, 4-2-1, 3-2-0, 3-1-1. Mine didnt have this slipping problem till I tried these weights. And on the initial 4-2-0 setup it didnt slip pulling out the first time, hit limiter at 55mph and has slipped ever since.

Did you accidentally put your weights in backwards?

No, that was 1 thing I did double check. 1 more thing I just thought of for anybody wondering. I replaced both springs and all 3 set of sliders at 2500 miles with factory replacements and it has the 3p shims.

Re: Clutch/Belt Help needed

is your snap ring installed correctly on secondary? How bout the big black washer in the primary? With my clutch kit you take it out. And when you go back to stock it needs to go back.

evo stage2 tune, evo bov, osp clutch kit, Polaris half windshield, Polaris roof, siezmik mirrors, prp door bags, trinity stage5 exhaust, 3p shims, a little rubber bendy pink panther dude hanging on the roll cage for dear life! and I'm sure I'm missing some stuff.

Plastic washer is in primary, put a new snap ring in, but my secondary goes Bolt, washer, snap ring, washer, washer. I just watched aftermarket assassins youtube video and they have the 2 washers on the bolt head side of the snap ring. Epis clutch video matches my machines layout

I'm having the same problem low is fine but high slips bad unless I ease into the throttle then it tops out at 55 mph . I'm running 33" BFG tires haven't really had time to mess with it I'm about to just take it out .

Re: Clutch/Belt Help needed

Are you prepping your belts and breaking them in properly? Have you cleaned your clutch sheaves? I'd start there.

I believe so, put around 20-25 easy varied rpm miles on this new one around my yard, cleaned clutches, scotch pad on the sheaves. Took to dealer friday for service bulletins and he had no answer but said my clutches looked better than some he had seen with 500miles on them. I did remove the flat washer closest to secondary and it doesnt slip at all but the machine just dont feel right at higher speeds with that setup.

Re: Clutch/Belt Help needed

It sounds to me like you know what you're doing and it should be working right. Since it's not, there has to be one thing wrong in there somewhere?

In neutral and with the clutch cover removed, rev the motor and watch it shift out to make sure it at least looks like it's working right. Should be fully shifted out at about 6000 rpm.
