Removing cat from muffler
 
If I remove the cat from my muffler or buy a aftermarket muffler will I need to do a tune?

No you don’t have to tune with just a aftermarket exhaust, but if u want performance gains out of that exhaust you will need to tune,

So is it worth the time removing that cat to lower the exhaust temps on a stock machine?

Michale is correct. You should see ~8-10*F lower coolant temps.

Just finished mine this wknd. I haven’t put it on yet. Soooooo I’m hoping it fits lol. I did the delete on my my old 16 muffler.

Yes, mine runs cooler and takes longer till the fan comes on

Roger that. I didn't want to cut the pipe and realize there wasn't one in there. how do you get fan to come on sooner with out getting a tune?

I have an 2016 S 1000. Anyone know for sure if it has a Cat? It appears to have an O2 sensor so? Max
