Walker Evans Shock Links

Anyone put these on a S yet? I know you have to remove the shock guards for them to fit but just wondering which ones are needed and make sure I order the correct version. I assume the spacing is the same for the regular turbo?

Following for updates.
I wish the ORO electric disconnect could work on the turbo S. Expensive but in my opinion worth every penny.

If they become available, I would guess the boss FJK would be the first? He gets all the good stuff. The S has more suspension travel, so my guess is they don't have anything available yet or he would have them by now?

Hi guys ,on my way home from HAWAII, I will check mine when I get in tomorrow, I donít think the sets of Walker Evans links I have will be long enough to work on my S but I will check and get back to you all .

Re: Walker Evans Shock Links

Call Reid Nordin @ Walker Evans Racing.
Or email him. He was instrumental in developing these in the first place.
Itís likely heís working on a S set already.
He got back to me the same day when I emailed him regarding the ones for my XPT.

Re: Walker Evans Shock Links

The lengths between the standard XP1000/XPT rear link and the Turbo S rear link are close enough that the walker links would work, however the bolts have been upgraded to 12mm from 10mm, so new spacers are needed.

Re: Walker Evans Shock Links

I called Walker Evans and they have them for the S but are having to change the mounting on them. I got the order placed and they are shipping out. You just have to call since they are not on the website yet.

They make them for the front of the standard XP1K/XPT, I have a set on my car.

The OEM front links are 157mm long for both XPT and XPTS, but just like the rear of the XPTS, the bolts are 12mm instead of 10mm. You just need to order front links with the correct spacers.

Re: Walker Evans Shock Links

I ordered a set last night from your website, then heard back from Walker Evans. They said they recommend one front one rear and that the fronts are shorter. Hopefully you can send one of each or cancel the order. Thanks

Re: Walker Evans Shock Links

Regarding only using one.

I have done that and it does work but the overall ride improvement and articulation is not the same. About 75%.

When I Emailed with Reid Nordin from WER he said his race teams use one. Which in that environment is perfect.
He was instrumental in developing this product.

But for ride quality etc. that using two its another step better in comfort and articulation.

Unless my communication with him over a year ago has changed.

I would recommend 2 and 2 if youíre a recreational rider and wanting ride quality along with articulation benefits.

Just a thought.

Re: Walker Evans Shock Links

I understand.
In my case when I played with one versus two there was another level of usefulness/comfort with two. Since Iíve had 2 and 2 all along Iíve played with them initially with one installed front and one rear.

Perhaps they....WER have taken another approach on how they valve them or do the benefits add up for the extra expense.

I do agree 1 is much better than none.
No debate there.
