East Coast re-valve

'18 Dynamix Turbo here -

Just wondering if there is any shop who has more setup & re-valving experience for us guys who deal with slower speeds, rocky, rutted, choppy, beat-the-hell out of you terrain?

I have the ST springs, but am looking for the plushest set-up I can find.

I am intrigued by the Walker Evans links, and am considering unhooking the front sway bar.

Anyone have some suggestions?

Well, I can't tell you much about the changes that can be made to the Dynamix suspension, But I would definitely try disconnecting the front sway bar. Mine has none and for rough terrain I can't imagine wanting one. I do have a bit of body roll in hard cornering, but it's nothing that can't be mitigated by backing off a little, and it isn't unpredictable. The trade-off I would image is well worth it.

I'm on the east coast as well and mainly ride very difficult slow technical / rocky trails. '17 XPT4 (not Dynamix) Shock Therapy Stage 4 w/revalve, front / rear sway bars, & WE Links. It floats over everything and ride is incredible. I can run through rocky trails at 30mph+ where most of the guys I ride with can barely manage 10-15mph.

The WE links flat out work and that is no joke, ask anyone who has them. I have been using them for over two years now. They allow significant articulation without excessive body roll. They really shine in off chamber situations and help to stop the down side lean. Some of the best $$$ you can spend on your suspension.

Curious why you would not put them on all four corners?

I'm not opposed to running front links.

My thinking is the Dynamix already stiffens the outer shocks when turning, so it might not be as noticeable on my car vs a std XPT with the sway bar removed.

Disconnecting the sway bars to try it out is free. Donít be afraid to play with your suspension. Do it incrementally making changes to only one aspect at a time so you know how the change affected it.

I am going to try the walker links on the rear of my Turbo S. I removed the front sway bar and can really tell no difference in body lean. I am in Arizona and I ride the toughest technical trails I can find the tougher the better. I do a fair bit of rock crawling mixed in also. I would recommend you call and speak to Karl Mason at ADS racing shocks in Tucson. I worked with him and did a bunch of R & D on different suspension set up for the Fox live valve shocks. All I can tell you is that my Turbo S gobbles up the toughest nastiest terrain better than any machine I have previously owned.

So I removed the front sway bay and went out for a ride.

I had my 13yo daughter out with me for her first riding experience, so I was driving a little cautiously as to not scare the hell out her!

I knew I was going to be driving slower than normal, so I lowered my tire pressure down to 10psi. I'm usually at 15psi, just for sidewall protection.

I was pleasantly surprised at the results. Far smoother in the front.

I usually avoid "rock gardens", but hit a few just to see how it felt.
The articulation alone was worth removing the sway bar, and with the Dynamix stiffening up the shocks, I noticed a small but acceptable increase in body roll on faster corners.

I am heading to Hatfield in 2 weeks and will have the Walker Evans links on for the trip. I will let you guys know how it went.
