Hard shift

All of a sudden I am having shift noise, Makes a loud pop when I first go from reverse to low or high. Like coming out of reverse or park.\

Any one else seen this, less than 500 miles. It was very cold though.
Thoughts?

Re: Hard shift

Will it make the loud pop with the engine off, as in No Pressure on the drive line? Possibly a clutch-belt issue allowing a slight amount of pressure on the trans when it is running at idle?

Get a B&M lever pull gated shifter with hill killer If you sign up for their news letters you can get it shipped for $200. One of my best mods to take care of all the shifting aggervasions. No searching for the gear positions. No more noises.

Can you tell me more about the signing up to get it for $200 shipped? They send you a coupon code to use on anything or was it a particular sale?

Have not checked if they are still doing it, this was back in September but yeah. Sign up for their newsletter and they send a 15% off coupon to the email you used to sign up with.

Re: Hard shift

It could be clutch problems,
Transmisión alignment or engine crankshaft bar problem.
Check if your secondary clutch still work if you shift P or N.
I have the same problem in mine. I have change already complete transmission and the problem still there.

Check my post.

Thanks.

Re: Hard shift

From the day I bought my 2018 Dynamix last January I had a very hard shift. Went to 3 different dealers that told me it just had to be broken in - wrong! I also noticed that my secondary was constantly turning (in P & N). Through research I found out that it was due to an alignment problem caused by Polaris's great snap ring idea. I used the snap ring deletion kit from Aftermarket Assassins and no more hard shift and no more secondary turning when it is not supposed to. I have about 250 miles on it since the change. Unfortunately the alignment problem caused by their snap ring solution is a common problem with the turbo's.

Re: Hard shift

The AA delete did help, also removed clutch put the belt in clutch pulled tight and measured belt in clutch. There was .082K between the belt and sleeve after pushing belt to one side. Removed the spacer from clutch cut .055k from the counter bore inside spacer then had to cut spacer down so it would tighten down on counter bore and not ride on bearing. now belt sits in clutch true locks up quicker and shifts so easy. This bike has always been so hard to shift you could not feel what gear you was in you had to look at display see if you was in gear you wanted to be in. Very smooth now no pressure on shifter

Re: Hard shift

Another 400 miles after the Snap Ring Deletion Kit and zero problems! I'm not a salesman but this simple fix has given a lot of enjoyment!

Re: Hard shift

I bought a B&M shifter and installed it on my 2018 Dynamix. Now I can't get car in Park. I checked and everything is tight and nothing in the way. I took cover off and it showed i was in park, put cover back on and no park. I pulled boot up and looked for anything that it might be hitting. Saw nothing wrong or out of place. Never seen anything like it and it's driving me crazy. I know what your thinking something must be in the way but was checked by a couple of guys. Anyone have any suggestions on what i can go to get it in park. I'm afraid to trailer it without it being in park. Summer is coming Help Please.

Thanks Roy

You need to adjust the shift linkage.
