Crossover rings for 2017 Walker Evans

Also posted in General:

I have pieced together a Eibach Stage 3 kit for a 2017 XP 4 1000. Now I am in need of 4 crossover rings. Not wild about buying 4 ST crossover rings for $200. I have found Eibachs for $160, Walker Evan's for $140, and SDI's for $120
I'm pretty sure all of them are 2 piece aluminum except for the SDI's. They seem to be a nylon type crossover. Anybody have experience with the SDI rings, will they hold up to the test of time?

I run SDI rings on my machine and they hold up fine and they won't seize or corrode like the aluminum ones sometimes do.

Good point, didn't think about that(corrosion/locking up). Was just concerned if they would get beat up. Are they loud? Do you hear the sliders banging into them?

I haven't noticed anything, but I am half deaf anymore. My kids and wife haven't complained so I guess that's a good sign.

Re: Crossover rings for 2017 Walker Evans

Just installed some ZBROZ springs on my friends RZR and the crossover rings do make a noise. My ST crossover rings are silent.

Backfire1 what kind of noise are you hearing? We the crossover rings installed in the location that we reference on the installation instructions? Let me know, would like more info to talk with our development team on this.

In the front. There is more noise than when stock. I only rode in his bike a few miles but there was some new noise coming from the front of the machine when the the suspension was going through its paces. After awhile of looking at it and riding I chalked it off to the tender spring compressing on the slider. We checked if everything was installed correct and checked the bolts for tightness.

I do notice that the ST springs that I have came with crossovers that have big o-rings to dampen the noise associated with the crossovers hitting. Hope this helps some.

Other than the little noise I think the Zbroz kit is perfect and easier to tune. Both work fine but ST requires you to buy a sway bar. It seems the softer your suspension the stiffer you need your sway bar to be. We ride fire roads and we also ride at parks so it is hard to get your cake and eat it to. The suspension needs to be set for ride height, speed, terrain. I am assuming this is why Polaris came out with the Dynamix.

If you would like I can check his bike the next time we ride to verify the noise is for sure the crossovers hitting?

No worries and thanks for making a great product that works and doesn't break the bank or require additional parts to make it work like it should.
