OEM plastic roof

Makes a racket. Over bumps it slams up and down slightly over cage top. I tried large zip ties to hold it down but they are ripping through the thin webbing of the plastic. Thoughts or ideas? Ty.

Re: OEM plastic roof

My polaris roof, the one with the sun roof in it, came with foam strips with adhesive on one side. Put that between cage and roof. I’m guessing you could find it auto parts, or plumbing and heating shop.

AA level 2 tune, S2 clutch kit, half tinted windshield, polaris roof. Polaris lower doors, fang light kit, with more to come

Re: OEM plastic roof

Is it the metal one or the plastic sport roof?

Re: OEM plastic roof

Check to make sure its installed correctly.

After I picked my XP1000 from the dealer I discovered it wasn't installed correctly at all. Screws missing, seal gasket missing... salesman slapped it on in a rush and didn't know what he was doing.

Here's a link to the installation instructions :

Re: OEM plastic roof

FWIW, I have the OEM Metal, and followed the instructions fully on install....couldn't be happier. Have a buddy that bought his XP1K4 and had the dealer install and has never been happy with it. That is, until we stripped it, installed the foam strips (from Lowes, very cheap and can get thicker than stock) and re torqued all screws. As mentioned above, must have been a sales guy install on the fly, as they didn't follow simple procedures. G'Luck on getting it straightened out.
