Over heating at idle
I have a 2017 razor 1000 xp4. It has the Polaris heater installed.
The issue is when the razor is running at idle the temperature will slowly climb up past 210 degrees when the fan kicks on but will continue to climb all the way to 235 degrees! The only way to drop the temp or keep the temp from climbing is to rev the motor past 3000rpm and hold until it drops.
Yes I have purged the system of air twice! No change. As far as I can tell the thermostat is operating by properly by opening at 210 and closing at 194. If I am driving it around keeping the rpms up and watch the temp gauge it will operate correctly by again kicking the fan on at 210, Tstat opens and drops the temp down to 194, fan kicks off, temp will drop to about 188 then tstat closses and the temp will climb again. At this point if I stop and bring the engine to an idle the issue will happen again. The temp will climb up to 210 the fan kicks on and the tstat opens but the temp will continue to climb to 235 where the thermal protection on the motor starts to cut the motor out.
