Storage option for cargo area

I know there are quite a few options out there for heavy duty, mounted cargo containers for the back of the RZR - but most of those cost quite a bit. For those looking for a cheap option, i stumbled onto this container at Lowe's and it fits like a glove in the XP 1000 and does a good job keeping mud/water out as well. Plus, its 30 gallons. For those budget minded people . . .

Best $20 bucks I have spent!

Re: Storage option for cargo area

I went with the stackable craftsman tool boxes but mainly because my highlifter is red and my ridgid boxes would no longer fit. Can you still fit a cooler in with this 30 gallon box?

Re: Storage option for cargo area

This is what I use..I purchased these at menards for 13.00 apiece. I drilled holes in the bottom to match the lock and ride hole. Then added my own version of lock and ride attachment devices. The front one I had to build a small platform out of plywood so it would set higher. They are too wide to set side by side. But lifting one up it works out great. I keep a cooler in one and dry goods in another. They work great. And cheap.

Re: Storage option for cargo area

No room for anything else in the cargo box - but I guess I'm fortunate in that I have two rzrs. I use one for tools, gear, parts, etc. and the other one for the cooler. Similar to the guy that posted below though, I'm sure this container is plenty large to put a cooler in as well as some other stuff. I just like it because it COMPLETELY utilizes the full cargo space - and has some height to it as well. But, looks like the setup in the post below does as well. His route might be better if you only have one rzr . . .

I like this idea! Looks very sturdy there.

Looks good man, nice! We'll be working on RZR soon right after we finished installing the brake kit and air lift suspension on the current truck project. Storage set up for the Xp900.

Mine is a TUSK steel storage box. It locks, can be removed for service etc. It's expensive,$400, but very well worth the money.

Re: Storage option for cargo area

I have the CageWRX super shorty cage with rear spare tire carrier so it limited the headroom space at rear of cargo area. Was still able to utilize ALL available space and fit an RTIC cooler in the front and small RTIC duffel bag with tools/parts in the rear portion. I also installed ammo boxes on each side of the rear roll bars and bolted them to removable HDPE plates using the lock-in-ride holes.
