Window nets

Bough a new 2017XP1000 trail & rock I want to race. What window nets work best? Looking at the Polaris door nets, does anyone have these before I order them?

Re: Window nets

in my opinion I fell in love with the prp window nets I don't like the Polaris window nets they are cheaply made in my view but its all-out what you want

Re: Window nets

I run the PRP nets and like them, but am just a trail rider. I bought the pre made ones, which I'm not sure would be race legal, you might have to go with the custom ones.

Re: Window nets

I also run the PRP nets. The premade ones fit my CageWRX Bajaspec cage well enough to work for my purposes. They kept my co-driver/wife from sticking her arm out the window during a rollover in a Rallycross race, so I'd say they did their job just fine.

Re: Window nets

With using the PRP window nets how do you attach the bottom of the nets to the door when in use?

Re: Window nets

I ordered PRP nets for my cagewerks cage being installed. They have to weld tabs on cage, send PRP a template and then 3 weeks out was quoted $80-100 per net. I am sure someone makes a clip on net

Re: Window nets

If you are looking for a bolt on, low cost solution for racing here is a full setup. It's meant to be minimum barrier to entry stuff.. you may need to cut the window net a bit..

Code:
Window Net	$23.39	https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004QMEIYC
Window Net Holder - Get bottom mount too	$119.00	https://www.ioportracing.com/window-nets/joes-top-rod-window-net-mount-kit/
Bolt on roll bar bungs	$10.00	https://www.ioportracing.com/window-nets/window-net-bracket-kit-i/o-port/
Lower door inserts	$99.00	https://www.amazon.com/2014-2018-Polaris-XP1000-Insert-Panels/dp/B01600UOEU

Re: Window nets

I'd be interested in a more passive use window net for my 1000 XP. Something more along the lines of what's on the Can Am Maverick that let's you open the door without unhooking anything. All it needs to do is hook to the front of the door and attach to the top rear corner of the cage and down to the lower rear corner of the cage, like a triangle, so opens with the door but is enough to keep arms/heads in for the most part during a roll over.

It looks like they secure to the cage front/top/and rear, and then to top the door as well. So how do you get out? Don't you have to unhook something on the net in order to open the door and get out?
