Changing wheel bearings help

I have a 2015 xp 1000 and i am in the middle of changing the front wheel bearings, every video i watched they show the bearing comes out the outer side and pressed back in the outer side and thats what polaris parts exploded view shows but from what i can tell mine have to come out and in through the inner side,i ran the numbers on the spindles and they match oem, can anyone shed some light on this for me, i am the 2nd owner and it does have super atv A arms, thanks for any info.

Re: Changing wheel bearings help

2010 800, so YMMV, but mine came out the outside. There is a C-ring that holds them for 'falling out' of the outside. Pull that, then push them out from the inside.

They come out and go back in on whatever side the spring clip is on which is I believe the outside.

Re: Changing wheel bearings help

I dont remember what side i took the ring out of, it looks like there is grooves on both sides, plus the new bearing will not fit in the front but will fit in the back thats why im confused.

Re: Changing wheel bearings help

I just watched a YouTube video to make sure since my memory isn't that great. The clip comes off the outside (hub) side and is pressed out from the inside.

Unless i got the wrong bearing it will only go in from the back side, it is a moose and i ran the #s and it's supposed to be for my rzr.

Re: Changing wheel bearings help

If you happen to have some way to measure it, the outside diameter is supposed to be 2.83". So if that is what it is then you have the correct bearing, if it isn't then the bearing is wrong.
The bearing will be held in by a C-clip/snap ring, on the outside of the hub. It gets pressed out from the inside out. Then the new one is pressed in from the outside in.

If you do some searching on this forum you will probably find most here prefer and have had the best luck with OEM bearings. I for one have tried several from the aftermarket and have found the OEM the best quality and longest lasting.
Whatever bearing you choose make sure to grease it when you do the install.

Thanks for everyone's input but i am 100% positive my bearings press out from the front because the snap ring was in the back, not sure why its different from the rest but it is.

Re: Changing wheel bearings help

That is insane, why would they put different front hubs (Rears are the same as all the others) and bearings on the 2 seat turbo than the 4 seat and every other RZR 1000 out there?! It would be one thing if they were bigger and better bearings, but they're smaller. Polaris does some mindboggling stuff sometimes.
