Re: Ryco Street Legal Kit Sale

Not to thread-jack, but anyone recommend a dry lube for the horn button? I have a kit on a used 2016 RZR that sticks. I honked at some yahoo the other day and the horn wouldn't stop blaring. Had to keep flicking the button to finally get it to stop whilst everyone looked on.

Sounds like a warranty problem. How long have you had the kit?

Re: Ryco Street Legal Kit Sale

I understand the rear Ride command wiring harness is different, can you confirm please. What if I want to use switches instead of the column mount.

The Ryco kit uses the same part number for ride command as the turbo or 1000 machines (same harness). If you want switches I have another brand of kit that works and does use a different harness. PM sent.

I bought the RZR used a month ago from a gentleman who has homes in AZ, UT and Montana. He had it installed. Works great, integrated into ride command and everything. Just that darn pesky horn that sometimes sticks. I've tried cleaning it off but there is some friction causing sticking at times, hence I ask if perhaps a dry lube is in order, or would that hurt more than help? Thank you.

Try the dry lube. If that does not work the switch is a warrant item and we will send you a new one.

Re: Ryco Street Legal Kit Sale

Thank you, Craig! Obligatory bump to top.

ETA: Shot some dry lube, lithium based vs silicone as that's what I had on hand and it seems to have freed up the button to return to its resting position. We'll see how it holds up. It's a newer street legal kit and the RZR hasn't seen much weather or dirt from trails. It's garaged when it's not out on the trails by both myself and the previous owner. I assume some sort of muck got in the horn button as it seems to be fine now. Thanks for the heads up.
