Top Speed

Just getting to the broke in point. Tried a wide open run today 9200RPM and 62MPH. Seems off, is the rocks and trails clutched differently?

Re: Top Speed

I've had mine up to 65. Don't know RPM.

That's fast enough for me on the places I have had my TRE.

Did not buy my TRE for top speed. Bought it for what it does at low speed. And it does that extremely well.

Re: Top Speed

It has been my understanding that the TRE is geared the same in high as the regular XP1K. If that is true, something is amiss with yours. I hit 80mph last weekend with mine. Had to lift at that point cause I was running out of road, but I never felt the rev limiter. Seemed like it was still pulling. Even if it is geared a little lower, I think it should do more than 62. My buddy’s 800 tops out at 63.

Re: Top Speed

That's what I thought. Back to the dealer I guess. I am not worried about top speed, very seldom will go over 50, but if it should go 80 it is going to go 80!!

Re: Top Speed

62 does seem kinda low, I've had my 900S up to 75. I dont know a whole lot about the trails and rocks edition but there are 2 in our group, but we rarely go over 50 on the trails

Re: Top Speed

You should be way higher than 62, I’d geared lower than the T&R I believe and can still hit around 80 at 8600 rpm....do you have a tuner? I didn’t think the rev limit was that high in a 1K...

I am thinking elevation has a lot to do with your top speed, our xp4 hasn’t seen a shade over 72 on level +/- pavement. With 92 octane and clean filters, I was told they were governed at 84 but it would take a hurricane for a tail wind to hit that in this desert

Re: Top Speed

62mph is low.....and 9200rpm is high, too high

AA level 2 tune, S2 clutch kit, half tinted windshield, polaris roof. Polaris lower doors, fang light kit, with more to come

Pulled the clutch cover off. The spider nut is totally off. This forum is a vast supply of helpful knowledge.

Top speed for my 2017 xp4 1000 ends up at 67 maybe 68 miles an hour which is very annoying. I'm also at around 8700 RPM which I understand is way too high

Re: Top Speed

Kinda curious you guys with the low top speeds; Did you ever change out the square pucks in the secondary? Also how many miles?

Re: Top Speed

2019 T&R 815 miles elevation @ 7800' can top 8350 RPM and 75ish MPH ( stock set-up from the dealer)
The T&R is geared the same as a standard XP1000 in high range.
If your dealer is a good dealer he will change the weights ( If required-at a minimum) and set up the car for the recommended elevation (dealer location)

I cannot get the performance out of my RZR if it had weights/springs for flatlander elevation, way to heavy for the lack of air up here.

Allot of testing and dealer time is spent to set (dealer prep) the car up for the elevation where it is to be ridden...
