Re: Cage mount GoPro or Helmet mount GoPro

I've made videos with both as well and the rollbar mount is by far the better choice in the RZR. I found you get way to many quick movements between bouncing around in the seat and looking around. You just need to mount it in the center. It bothers me watching videos where you see the hood in one corner and see off to one side.

Re: Cage mount GoPro or Helmet mount GoPro

Morning, Thanks for the videos. Whenever I see RZR videos I like when the camera is mounted to see some driver and dash. Mounted mine yesterday as shown.

Were you using the clear case with the open back? as the audio seemed ok.

What resolution are you using and why?

What program to make your video?

Might I suggest the $25 tube mount accessory. It really is a great piece and allows for a ton of adjustment in mounting positions for the camera!

I used the open back with Scotch Tape over the holes (keeps out moisture but lets some sound through)

I have it set on r4 (on the GoPro forum that is what the consensus is for this kind of use)

I use Pinnacle Studio 12 (havn't seen the need to upgrade it as it does all I need to do).

I have a spare battery and 16Gig SD card so I can record up to 5 hrs total in 1 day. Fun part is editing that much down to a 5-10 min YouTube video. A 10 min AVI in high quality takes over 10 hrs to upload to YouTube.

Hope this info helps.

Hey thanks, I'm still learning

I revised my post on the other thread about the roll bar mount.

You can use the horizontal cross tube behind your shoulder and face straight forward. The 90 degree adapter was in hiding in my box somewhere.

Also using pinnacle....long story.

You never said how to turn it on!

I get distracted all day with visitors.

Not sure what you meen about how to turn it on. With a 16 gig SD card I can run 2 1/2 hrs. I usually just let it run.

Re: Cage mount GoPro or Helmet mount GoPro

The cage mount makes for better video but the helmet mount doesn't pick every little creak and groan in the chassis like the cage mounts do. I've noticed that when I mount the camera on the front roll bar every little noise the windshield or doors make is amplified through the camera. I am looking for a rigid mount with a little better isolation from the cage.

Any ideas?

Re: Cage mount GoPro or Helmet mount GoPro

both videos look great, you should get another camera, run different angles, each time you stop and take a break. move the cameras around a little, but what ever you do, keep one camera pointing forward, here is a video i did to give you a good idea of what im talking about. this is dont with 1 HD go pro, and 1 older version go pro hero wide.
