Desert Tires

Asking for a buddy of mine. Anyone have any experience with Discount Tires Mohave Rage Tires? Any good in the sand? Hold up on the street? He loves his Tensors , just looking for something new or better. Must be DOT because he is in AZ. Thanks Max

Re: Desert Tires

A friend of mine at the office recently installed a set of 32x10R-15 Rage Mohave tires on Method 15x7, 409 wheels on his Dynamax Turbo 4 RZR with good results in the desert in AZ. He has not had them in the sand but they should be ok aired down, although they are primarily designed for rocky hardpack terrain. They are DOT approved as you mentioned and on the lighter side weight wise. They are an excellent value tire.

Re: Desert Tires

I can tell you that these tires are AWESOME so far. I had the opportunity to run in a bit of sand recently and they did just fine. I run them at 10 pounds front and 12 pounds in the back and have ZERO grip issues here in AZ. They are also holding up good to the rocks so far. I say put on a set and go for it, I certainly don't regret it.
and YES, I am THAT guy from the picture above and NO they don't look that clean anymore. LOL

See ya on the rocks!!

Re: Desert Tires

Buddy is mainly concerned about riding in the AZ sand. Everything else is hard-packed desert. Thanks guys! Max
