New Owner - 2017 RZR S 1000 EPS Stealth Black - Slow Build and BS

Picked up yesterday on a deal 3 other dealerships couldn't match. Can't wait to take her out this weekend, although the "break in" period doesn't sound like much fun.

Only mods I'm interested in soon will be the half windshield, door fillers and roof. Any sites you guys recommend? Ones to stay away from?

Also, big question. How are you guys mounting your license plate? Is there a kit for this?

Wish List in no order:
3) Rear view mirror
4) Lower door graphics
5) Winch
6) 14" Beadlock wheels/29" tires

06/14/17 Added Items
1) Half windshield from UTVgiant
2) Lower door inserts from UTVgiant
3) Oneal Series 3 Flat Black Helmet with Blur Goggles
4) 2" Car Strap tie downs
5) Double OTT tinted roof
6) Polaris Front/Rear w/ extension bumpers
7) Matching spare
8) Lock and Ride tie down anchors
9) Ion Air Pro 2 Camera with helmet mount
geoffrsc and Taconite like this.

Don't buy a roof until you are sure you will keep your stock cage.

Congrats on the new ride.

Don't sweat break in. Find a place that gets your blood going, put it in low, and have fun. Freak yourself out, change your fluids, and let er' rip. The S1K is an amazing machine.

Great looking machine. Break-in is no biggie. Have fun.

Mudbuster fender flares a must, IMO. The flares will keep the mud out of the smile you're going to have on your face.

The salesman said to vary speeds during breakin and don't go balls to the wall right off the bat. This accurate? Should I baby it somewhat or just go on a normal ride? I don't plan on doing anything extreme the first time out.

Anyone have pics of where they mounted their license plate without drilling?

Mudbusters for sure. Looks good, works well.
My plate used two 1/4 inch holes in the back, no big deal to me. The mounting screws have LEDs in them to light up the plate.
Practically all my optional equipment will fit yours, take a look at the link in my signature for a list and evaluation of all of them.

Do you have a link? Just for the license plate mount? Amazon is ridiculous when searching.

Re: Proud new owner of a 2017 RZR S 1000 EPS Stealth Black

Use the break in period to get to know the machine and your skills as a driver. Try different speeds, different terrains, and you won't even notice it. The 1st fluid change felt like graduation to me Nice rig!!! I bet the neighbors gathered with endless questions lol

Re: Proud new owner of a 2017 RZR S 1000 EPS Stealth Black

Break-in, just ride normal and don't hammer it too much. Let the belt wear in a little. Just a little bit of proper break-in can go a long ways.

Also, proper care after break-in is good too, never hammer a cold belt. Get some time/heat into the belt before you put the power to it or you can start slipping and then you get to say bye-bye to $$$, for another belt.

Play with tire pressures and clicks on the shocks also. You'll find something that suits you. All this will make the machine that much more enjoyable.
