Just bought some XP LED lights

What do I need to know for this conversion process? Do I need to buy the $50 conversion cables? Is there another cheaper way?

Re: Just bought some XP LED lights

You need the conversion wiring adapters. They convert the female plug on your S 1000 at each headlight location, over to the LED lamp connector. Your current connector will not interface with the LED headlamp without them (it is literally a different connector). Alternatively, if you could "find" bare pigtail connectors for the LED lamps you could always cut your existing plugs off and replace with the new ones. Not sure how common this approach is when the adapters are easy and cheap.

Re: Just bought some XP LED lights

I did the conversion on mine and you need to just get two adapters...parts #s are below, it's a pretty simple install once you get these harnesses...they are about $25/per side

2411712-Right

Re: Just bought some XP LED lights

LED head lights made a huge difference imo. But perhaps most importantly was the 5k color match to other LEDs and not the yellowish halogen. A 30 LED light bar will still over power the headlights but I consider it worthwhile ($220 for the LEDS and sold my stockers for 100).
