Aem Infinity ecu

I'm looking Into doing a aem Infinity ecu in my rs1. Looking for people that have used the infinity and looking for some feedback on the tuning platform as well as what plug and play harness you used. It's weird because on the aem site it says 2016 turbo has one harness and 14-15 xp1k has another. Well I have a 18 rs1. Pretty much a 19 1000xp engine, dash and engine wire harness. I'm confused on what plug and play harness I need or if they even make one that will fit my rs1. Also I'm looking for a place to get a base map for the infinity if I go that direction. I'm running a 2860r turbo on 5-12 psi and have larger Injectors. Would b awesome if I could find someone that can make me a base map with my injectors already scaled as well. Also possibly looking for a tuning facility in north east Ohio that could tune the infinity.

I didn't get much response about my AEM project. I would think the XPT harness would be the way to go so there are provisions for the extra sensors required for a turbo setup. Or you could get a OEM XPT ECU & harness and use a Dynojet PCX for tuning. The stock OEM XPT maps should get you close. The software is fairly simple if you have tuning experience.

Re: Aem Infinity ecu

I cant help as far as the harness situation, but can give feedback on the AEM. It was night/day better on my setup vs the power commander V that I was using. Driveability and tunability is clearly not even comparable. Maybe the new dyno jet tuning products are better since you are actually modifying the stock ECU parameters. Tuning with the AEM is easy if you have any experience. You might reach out to Nate at Alba, he has a lot of knowledge and experience with the AEM setup.

I have the pcvx now but I am having issues with boost fueling. I am being told to run a pc5 boost capable u it on top to handle my boost fueling. I'm just not very into having multiple boxes to make this work. The aem seems to be a one and done unit. I have my wide band, add on boost control, I can run a cd5 or cd7 for a add on dash or keep my dash. Ive been messing with the pcvx for a month now and I'm just fed up with it. I'm used to the car world tuning with hptuners or efilive. I just found a screaming deal on new arm ecus with 1000xp harnesses for 1000 dollars shipped. But I'm really trying to find out what harness I actually need here. I have heard nothing but good things about the aem Infinity but the information is very limited. Just would like to know everything I can going I to this.

I was thinking of calling Alba tomorrow and maybe even aem to c if I can get the the info I'm looking for. It seems now with how popular the xpt and turbo s are not many people bother swapping a turbo into a none turbo RZR. Just wish this damn rs1 was turbo in the first place! Also rzrjoe how do you like your aem dash? I'm thinking off doing the cd5 and keeping the stock dash as well. I like being able to switch tunes on the fly and I like being able to read all the I fo out if my ecu at a glance.

I have been trying to find out what the actual difference is between xpt and xp1k wire harness. And it's pretty drastic. The factory ecu's are the same and are just programmed different. The xpt has knock sensors as well as a single throttle body located in a different location than a xp1k. I'm pretty sure I have to run a xp1k harness because the aem jumper harness just piggybacks from the aem and plugs into the factory harness ecu plug. It also looks like it comes with a wide band afr wide band sensor and map sensor that are included with the jumper harness. My big question here is the aem ECU and jumper harnesses say 14-15 xp1000. But yet you see people using them on 16s and up. Just seems very odd how aem lists things. Especially they only list it being compatible on 14-15. That's the stuff I need to verify when I talk with aem. Also looked on Alba's website and they have the ECU and harness listed for 2599.00. I wonder why they are 1200+ dollars more than anyone else.

They are that much more expensive bc I believe that includes them actually tuning the vehicle. Alba has awesome customer service too!

Well I have a aem infinity and harness on it's way from larue performance. We will find out if it plays nice with the 18 rs1 can bus system. That's my main concern. I'm crossing my fingers. If this doesn't work the guys at larue said they can build me a in house custom stand alone with dash. So I will keep yalls posted

Infinity showed up today with a 1000xp harness. I'm now looking for a factory ecu pin out for a 14-15 1000xp and a 18-19 rs1. I want to double check the wiring since it's a mystery on what harness if any will work. So if anyone has a pin out for the ecu from a rs1 or 1000xp that would be awesome. I've heard the factory service manual has the pin outs but I don't have any manuals on either machine. Thought about going to the dealer to c if they will print those pages off for me.
