Fuel guage

No matter what i do when i fill up with fuel i can't get it to register full i have burped it by rocking it
as i fill it and it's usually one bar down has anyone else found this issue and know of a solution

There are a lot of post on this forum about inaccurate fuel gauges ...But the easy fix is to pull the fuel pump and adjust the float . It is no more complex than a toilet float. First make sure the pump is pointed in the correct direction with the witness marks on the tank and pump flange. you will see 2 arrows
It is a pain and it should have been better from the factory ...but an easy to fix.
I personally run on the odometer / trip meter, starting with a full tank and only use the fuel gauge as a reference. I compare the miles traveled and fuel remaining based on more than the fuel gauge itself. In the dunes at WOT this does not work I rely on the fuel gauge only in that situation . But I am never too far from camp in the dunes as compared to the mountains
