2008 800
Started after rebuild. Have bled and bled and bled. Have run and run and run. Overflow always ends up at the same point when left overnight to cool.
The fan will kick in, but will not turn back off. Sometimes turning the key off, waiting a few seconds, and starting it back up will turn it off till it kicks back on. Rebuilt the top end (due to dusting) in March. Have not been able to cure this, wasn't doing it prior to rebuild. The thermostat was changed and bullet impeller was installed during rebuild.
I have since replaced the temp sensor, still no change.
I have done a bit of research, the thermostat I purchased was a quad logic 100-2070-1 which is supposed to be a replacement for Polaris part 7052352.
Quad logic also has a 100-2070 which is also a Polaris replacement for 7052352 AND 7052308. This thermostat states that it has bypass holes in it, and it has a second Polaris part number.
I have also discovered the 2008s ran cooler. Is it possible that the computer is not turning the fan off due to an incorrect thermostat operating temp. Just for example... if the computer is supposed to shut down the fan at 180, but the thermostat is 195, the engine would stay in the 190 range and the fan would never shut down.
Only other part I know of in the system to change is the 20amp circuit breaker in the wire harness under the dash.
Any other ideas?
