Usa Re: 800 will not start

I would check the ignition switch and the wires going to the solenoid.

Re: 800 will not start

Check to see if your brake lights(not tail lights) are working. If not then check the wires on top of the brake sending unit. It has to work to turn the starter over by the key. It's a simple pressure switch. The wire conector can/will get dirty or even knocked off and then the key wont turn the starter.

Re: 800 will not start

Those ignition switches have been known to seperate not allowing them to make contact inside. It happened on my wifes 13 800s only way i found out was by reaching under the dash and squeezing it together while turning the key and it started. New switches are 6bucks

Re: 800 will not start

After the machine has set overnight...get in and turn the switch to "ON". Do you hear the whine of the electric fuel pump bringing the fuel rail up to pressure? If not the pump can be failing. That will cause you fits.

Check the point where the ground cable from the battery is bolted to the frame. make sure the face of the frame and the end of the cable are clean and bright shiny metal. It's often a problem.

There is a MAP sensor in the intake tract. It can get dirty and cause you starting problems. Clean it with CNC Mass Air Flow Sensor Cleaning Spray. Got mine thru Amazon. But some parts stores carry it.

Angry Re: 800 will not start

My 2014 RZR 800 ran perfect all weekend. Put on trailer and hauled home, tried to start to take off of trailer and lights on speedometer come on and engine light stays on. Just has dotted lines where it shows gear location and shows 32 degrees for a few seconds then dotted lines on the other side. checked out break sensor and it is working properly and jumped across solenoid, motor will crank but will not start. also can not here fuel pump come on when I turn the key on. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Now if turn the key all the way to start, I can hear the fuel pump but still nothing to engine.
