May 2012 Rally on the Rocks!

Hey Everyone. It's Jared and Lanse from your favorite rally "Rally on the Rocks"!

Check out the new flyer with the dates for the May 2012 Rally. We wished we could have put on a fall rally (but dang these things are a lot of work), we are already busy securing manufacturers and vendors for next spring!

We would like to thank all the participants and guides from last year for their great trail etiquette. We got a satisfactory rating from the BLM, their highest rating and a first in the history of the event!

Also, a big shout out to all those who took part in our raffle, due to your generous contributions we were able to donate $2500 to Take Back Utah.

We will be actively checking e-mails going forward, so if you have any questions let us know. We are also in need of more trail guides. If any of you have an interest in trail guiding please contact us at [email protected] or [email protected].

Also, we will be shutting down the forum on our website and utilizing UTV Forums Network. Thanks Doug!! www.rzrforums.net, Yamaha Rhino Forum - Rhino Forums.net, Kawasaki Teryx Forum, Can-Am Commander Forum, and Arctic Cat Prowler Forum, to name a few.

Thanks again for your support and we'll see you in May.

Not everyone in our group has a SxS. Are atv's allowed at all if they are part of our group?

Re: May 2012 Rally on the Rocks!

Are all trails being guided? I was thinking you could show up and ride any trail at any time but after doing some reading this doesn't seem to be the case. How exactly does all this work?

Re: May 2012 Rally on the Rocks!

a couple of friends and I went to moab last year... It happened to be the best time Ive EVER had... we didnt have a tour guide or a part of anything, we just rolled through town and got a map of where to go and went... It was such a blast.. I might be interested in doing this rally on the rocks... it looks like a blast, and I might not be the "gopher" on every obstacle this time..

This year we have 19 different trails from very easy to extreme. All trails are guided. We meet at the Rally headquarters (Old Spanish Trail Arena) and rides leave at 10 am, some are escorted through town others need trailering.

Moab is always a great time. It's always fun to be with 600 other people that share the same passion, not to mention the great vendor discounts!

We have tried ATV's before and it didn't work out. SxS's only.

Re: May 2012 Rally on the Rocks!

DO you have the option of riding any trail without a guide or do each group have to stay together. Our group has every intention of paying the fee and participating every day but would like to know if we can do our own thing for a while? I see on your web site it says there is a minimum and maximum amount. We are worried there might be some trails we wont be able to do. Are the trails closed off after the main group goes through or can we do the trails ourselves earlier or later in the day?

Re: May 2012 Rally on the Rocks!

oteo 125, all trails are open to the general public. It's not uncommon for participants to ride the rally rides then get a smaller group together and do an afternoon/evening ride. The advantage of the rally rides are that some trails are escorted to the trail heads, when you ride on your own you will have to find other means to get to the trail head.
Sign-ups start in January, sign up early and you will get all the trails you want.

Thanks fo your interest and we'll see you in May.

Re: May 2012 Rally on the Rocks!

Can't wait for the Rally on the Rocks this year! It's always a great time. We will be having a big group going again this year. I bet there will be 10-15 of us in our group. I know some guys are even bringing two rigs.

May can't get here soon enough!
