Update

Going to make 20 sets on this first run just to make sure they are good to go. Waiting on 1 guy to do some runs this weekend and I'll have them put in line for production next Monday. Figuring 1 week from there and then I'll have to do my part and I can ship those out.

From this quote they should have went into production yesterday.

Re: XPT Clutch Warranty problem

Always keep any parts for evidence, don't just swap and take pictures. I had this argument on a blown belt before with pics of belt chunks and thought I was good with a pic for proof, but they wanted all the pieces to approve claim. In the end I won, just an FYI

That's why I put all the pieces in a bag in the glove box for the tech.

Those are the sliders. Same exact thing happened to mine after exactly 545 miles. Your secondary is almost certainly trashed now also. Polaris covered both my primary and my secondary but I used a good dealer out here in AZ. Those are the sliders aka "rollers" Polaris put in this new clutch they want you to believe they put a bunch of research into. They don't use their own shocks and I for one think they should also use another company for their clutches since they have proven model year after model year that they are unable to build a reliable one themselves.

So are you replacing junk for more junk or is it a better product? What dealer are you using cause mine is acting like they never heard of this in AZ

Trying to get the machine shop to get my material cut. Should have been done friday, still not done today. As soon as I can get them, I have a friend cutting the tooling I need to finish the product and then I'll be able to start shipping.

Going to have sets out to some of the racers at BITD. That will be a good test for longevity.

Polaris does use another company for their clutches. Team industries. I've left several messages. No return calls. 70 miles on my 2nd primary. It's showing ware already. Wish I didn't buy the xpt. I want my 1000 back. 27K mistake. Thanks polaris.

I was going to buy a new turbo this month but I am not now. Going to hold and see where this goes. I am keeping my jagged x rzr so I will just keep on riding it until Polaris fixes it or just get a maverick turbo if polaris doesn't fix this.

Re: XPT Clutch problem

Two of my friends were getting ready to pull the trigger and get the 4 seater turbos but not now...they had a deal worked out and everything but since all this clutching crap hit the fan they are going to wait until Polaris wakes up.

My XPT has 300 miles on it and this weekend it seemed like the clutch was trying to stay engaged at idle. Since I only have 1 week left on the factory warranty, I took it to the dealer on Monday and got the call yesterday that Polaris is replacing the primary.

They do use (as many companies do) Team industries clutch components but unless I am wrong, they are designed by Polaris and built by Team to Polaris' specs. I'm saying Polaris needs to do what they do best, sell $27k pieces of plastic to the masses and let after market experts design the clutches.
