Just purchased used 2016 rzr 1000 turbo

Hi so I joined this form a few years ago but didn’t buy a razor until last month I purchase a 2016 razor turbo XP 1000 used in incredible shape .... It was owned by a metal fabricator/airplane mechanic and he was very anal with how he took care of his machine it looks brand new he barely took it in my mud other then when would encounter mud on trails .... I think it’s seen more mud from me this month than him since he bought it new .....

so the machine is bone stock so far i have added two Polaris courtz ? Speakers , light bar 32 inch , winch , front bumper , rear bumper , super atv front and rear A arms , dalton clutch. Kit , rhino axles , Gibson exhaust .... Safe to say I’m hooked ....

So now I need more power the majority of my riding is done on forest service roads and trails in northern British Colombia ( lots of riding ) ...... My issue is the machine has a after market warranty for a few more years and it’s already saved me $500 since I got machine I blew a primary seal and it’s spwed oil all over my clutch I was getting a nasty burning smell from the machine I’m glad we got that fixed ....

So I’m on the fence right now about starting to add performance mods my polaris dealer does evolution ECU flash and intake for my next step if that’s the route that I wanna take he said they have TONs of customers tuned and even more mods with the odd major catastrophe mechanically but the majority of the machines are doing just fine ..

Thoughts ??

Re: Just purchased used 2016 rzr 1000 turbo

My thoughts. Its not a 1000 turbo. The only 1000's that have turbos have an aftermarket turbo installed. Its a XP turbo.

The 16's are known to overheat so make sure that is taken care of.
AA has a great programmer that when re-flashed back to the stock program they cant tell. This is what I have been told and have not heard anything different. If you go that route start out stage 1 and 2. You will notice a very significant increase with that. Without slight engine mods the 16 can't handle any more power then that.
Congratulations on the new ride. Have fun and BE SAFE.
Mike.

I have a spare ECU with an EVO 4R tune on it for sale. You can swap the ECU to play, then put stock back in for any warranty work. The tune also has the lower fan temp settings to help with the overheating noted above.

Re: Just purchased used 2016 rzr 1000 turbo

I ran an evo stage2 tune with an osp clutch kit in my 16 turbo. It was a perfect setup. Set it and forget it. 3100miles with it tuned the whole time. Never an issue with it at all. And like mentioned above. For warranty you can change the ecu out for the stock one.

AA level 2 tune, S2 clutch kit, half tinted windshield, polaris roof. Polaris lower doors, fang light kit, with more to come

Re: Just purchased used 2016 rzr 1000 turbo

The forum wasn稚 working foe me to post so I had to down load tapa talk ...already have 5 point harnesses .... judging by what I知 reading. Here and in other places I知 not going to add much more performance upgrades other than tuning ....

I had ordered rhino 2.0 but the dealership put on rhino axles just regular are there any better than stock ?? I havnt drove the machine yet Jc they are same strength as Stock I知 gong get them to remove them ...

For cages I知 looking at concept cages there a local company close to the town I grew up in really like the look .
