Williams AZ ride

Lake Havasu is 116* this weekend so we decided to head north to cooler temps
Williams AZ is about 150 miles north and 50 miles from the Grand canyon
We dry camp at 7000' elevation. This morning it was 59* and day temps were low 80s
Rode up to top of Bill Williams mtn which is 10,000'.
Met some fellow riders there too

I was in a RZR 4 when about 10 other vehicles came up as we were leaving. Fun times.

Re: Williams AZ ride

We usually camp on that road going to the top where that old logging truck was parked
It's EZ for me to get in and out of there.
Not as busy during the week.

Re: Williams AZ ride

I remember seeing that Sterling truck at the bottom. Cool truck.

We were just past that on the Whitehorse lake road about a mile in. We had a cool ride to Sycamore point which was about 20 miles from camp. As we got back in the RZR it started to pour. it made for a fun cool ride.

Here is my ride from a couple of weeks ago on a morning desert ride. Didn't have time to look at any photos from this trip yet.

Wish I had the chance to say hello.

Re: Williams AZ ride

We were over on FR354 by Summit Mountain where they just built that new Bar Cooley ranch or something.
Kinda bummed since it was a water tank for the elk and deer we would watch go over to there
Fun ride to the top there too
We saw a couple rzrs go by when it rained and the passenger holding an umbrella lol
We went the back way to JD dam and heading to Sycamore when a car got in front of us so we passed on that
I'll have to send you a pm next time we head out

This is the ranch and our campsite
I spied on it with the drone lol

Re: Williams AZ ride

I saw some of those huge homes on Google earth. They are amazing.

Cool area over near Sycamore Canyon for sure. We have some spots at Stoneman Lake area that I have set up with my camera to watch elk play in the pond. They are cool animals.

They kept trying to catch me when they would hear the camera but never did. Lots of fun watching the youngsters.

Those are awesome pics!
We're planning a trip out towards Munds park in september.
I need some camping tips. We like to dry camp but campgrounds are good too.
This is one of our favorite pics heading to Sycamore canyon.
And ol Bud had a different idea of what elk were like. It was his goal to find something to play with.
