It's now 2017/18... Who has the Best Audio system now?

I know this topic has a few threads, but they all seem to be pretty dated (2014-2016)... So here is what I am looking for.

I want amazing mids and deep, solid bass. I want it loud when necessary, but not all the time. I want it to be rough-trail durable, and at the very least weather 'resistant' since I live in Florida and rain is a pretty common thing. I probably won't intentionally be swimming in anything over the floorboards, but it would be nice to be able to know that if something unexpected happens, that I won't have just destroyed my stereo. Price isn't a huge limitation as long as I am getting a great value for the money I spend. I can't justify spending $3k but I wouldn't rule it out if someone could show me that the system will hold it's value...

Let me know your opinions and you're reasoning.

Re: It's now 2017/18... Who has the Best Audio system now?

Your not going to get deep bass without a subwoofer.
I LOVE my SSV Audio roof. For 700$ you get 4 speakers, 50x4 watt amp, all waterproof, bluetooth, etc plus the expand ability to add 2 more speakers and their glovebox subwoofer (another 500$)

IF you want to spend 1500$, I heard the Rockford Fosgate stage 3 kit is real nice.

Here is my SSV works audio roof.....

All the SSV stuff I've heard sounds good. I like how it's up out of the way and you really can't beat the ease of installation that it offers. Then it's expandability for more speakers or subs makes it even more enticing in my eyes. I've heard all my buddies and they sound good, cant wait to hear mine

Re: It's now 2017/18... Who has the Best Audio system now?

I just bought a Sidexsideaudio setup. Roof mounted- and it looks and sounds awesome. Waterproof, am/fm, Bluetooth, amp, 4 6" speakers and LEDs with remote.

Couldn't upload a video, but it's similar to their website videos. Bass will only be better with a full mounted subwoofer. Lots options there, but I like the glovebox options offered by several manufacturers.

Anyone with the SSV glovebox sub have a pic of how close it is to the center console? I have my radio and rugged radio intercom mounted to the bottom of the dash, above the center console and want to make sure it will clear.

Re: It's now 2017/18... Who has the Best Audio system now?

Take a look at the NEW SSV Works /Kicker plug and play kits. These kits are 800 watts, completely weatherproof and are truly 100% plug and play.

When compared to the competition these kits are much easier to install and have 800 watts. All speakers and subwoofers come pre mounted and 100% wired, all amplifiers are mounted and retuned for maximum output. No chance of errors with this install.

customers have reported much more bass and volume compared the competition.

Don't take my word for it ask FJK how he loves his...

We are still working on the Ride Command interface. Unfortunately the Ride Command has some strange quirks. I will keep you posted.
