Re: Adding to Ride Command audio

I've found that disconnecting and connecting while testing your set up changes the output level. Once its connected and left that way, it seems to solve the problem.

I ended up ordering a new ground loop isolator and that seems to have solved the problem. Now if only there was a good way to heat shrink and seal everything to eliminate future headaches!

Re: Adding to Ride Command audio

I just had the dealer install the ride command on my 2017RZR Turbo with the mtx stage 4 system today and it sounds terrible! I have virtually no bass and the front and rear speakers seem to be sharing one channel. When I open up the fade and send sound to only the front speakers there is no sound, but all 4 speakers come on when move the dial to the rear speakers. Not sure if this was installed correctly. Any advice?

I posted previously in this thread about the difficulties I am was having getting 2018 ride command edition to work with additional amps. I ordered the mbquartz adapters and the volume was really low. Someone mentioned get isolators but that didnít seem to help either. From what MBquartz told me, the ride command is a balanced audio connection and there are no amps that will work properly. I ended up ordering a Fosgate line level converter and connecting the output of the factory 50w amp to it. The Fosgate RFHLC seems to have done the trick and I didnít have to connect the ground wire to eliminate any noise. I have two amps, the mbquartz 400.1 for the SSV works sub bell sure with a kicker 10 and the 400.2 to drive the factory door speaker and a wetsound core 6. I havenít decided if I am going to use the sound bar, the door speakers sound really good with the new amp.

Hopefully this will helps others trying to enhance the factory ride command edition.

I just added the adapter I ordered from Wisk..
Great looking workmanship and included an isolator for the horrible hum i was getting in my Wetsounds ultra 10 soundbar..
I really had my doubts but his adapter took care of my problems..
THANKS WISK!!
On another note, when you guys try something and lose the sound from the ride command plug, I've had to unhook a battery cable for a few seconds to get the sound back for another test try..
I worked on this for quite some time before i ordered the adapter from WISK, sure glad i did.
My search for a solution led me to this forum..

Thanks guys for everyones input to their similar issues and solutions..
Thanks WISK for your help..

Anyone make a sub enclosure that fits behind the seat for an 18 turbo?
Soundbar is not enough bass for me..
Just an old fart wanting to have fun!
Roger

Re: Adding to Ride Command audio

Just got a call from my Polaris CSR that was working with me on my Ride Command audio issues (popping at shutdown and intermittent noise) and she told me that there is a new service bulletin out for the audio systems connected to the RC head unit. It includes replacing the amplifiers in the pods and the amplifier for the door speakers to new versions that are now compatible with the RC system. I do not yet know if they have a firmware update for the RC head unit to add an On/Off button for the audio system, but if these amps work at least that will solve the most annoying part of spending over $8k on the two systems I currently have.

For those of you with the stock set up using the RC head end with door kits and/or pods (all MB Quart) the service bulletin # is: ZSA-18-02

I called my dealer and he looked it up and it gives him at least four new part numbers so he is researching it all for me and is going to order the parts for both RZRs so with a little luck the audio will begin to function as it should. He did tell me that this fix is for the doors and pods only, there is nothing shown for the subwoofer, but I don't believe it was an issue since the noise is all higher frequency and therefore probably above the range that would be audible on a subwoofer. If you have the same issue and haven't trashed your stock components for aftermarket audio, you might want to get on the horn to your dealer and get the ball rolling because knowing Polaris, they are likely to run out of these upgrade kits long before the demand subsides!

Re: Adding to Ride Command audio

Any input on a Dynamix radio. I bought the swamp donkey harness with out reading that it doesnít work itís most Dynamix. Tried 3 Amps with little to no sound. I looked at wire colors and they appear to be correct on my harness.

Any ideas. Wanting to run a 4 channel amp with 2 speakers in fire wall for now and more later.

Re: Adding to Ride Command audio

Hey guys, hate to bring a dead thread back, but I was messing with a buds 18í ride command. Adding a amp and sub. Not wanting to wait for the correct harness to come in, I cut the wires at ďamp 3Ē connecting both positive together, and neg together. Then connecting those to the amp. I ran my amp blue wire to the acc terminal under the hood.

We are not getting a whole lot of action out of the sub currently, amp is on, sub isnít doing much. I wondering if the blue or brown wire I left connected in the factory 8 pin connector needs to be run somewhere. Any ideas

Re: Adding to Ride Command audio

The harness i got from wisk with the 3.5 worked great. I also used a 3.5 to rca back to amp and it worked and sounded great.

Re: Adding to Ride Command audio

I had that issue, but what I found out through MTX is the dealer did not ground the system back to the battery. Once MTX replaced the rca connector switch the proper connectors and grounded it back to the battery my system sounds awesome and no buzzing.
