HW Belts make Podium in Desert Race!!!

One our dealers Side by Side Outlet ran our Std. belt in their XP 1000 in the Rage at the River in Nevada Race, out of 400 entries they finished 4th.

They had been blowing belts previous, they used our belt and added the blue washer I suggested after finding out Polaris has too much belt travel in these clutches and their belt blowing stopped.

Good to know they were willing to use it!!! And best news was it worked.

Not sure who else uses our belt racing but I am aware of two teams have used them and finished grueling races that I know of.

There is a link to the belt and here is one to the blue washer article

Re: HW Belts make Podium in Desert Race!!!

Interesting article Todd. When my 18 HLE was brand new I had the Polaris dealer warranty a new CVT Cover because the belt had rubbed the cover when the machine was new and gouged it pretty good. Thinking this was only a one off situation so I went with the mechanic and pulled off another cover from a brand new XP 1000 on the floor and found it too had rubbed the cover. It never rubbed again after the belt had done its initial break in.

Since I run in Low Gear at high RPM I'll have to check my belt for wear at the cogs to see if it affects my machine as well.
