rock sliders with factory skid

So what are my options for rock sliders with keeping a factory skid? I need something that protects the sides, not just the edges of the rockers. Most of the plastic ones are short and don't continue under the machine. Just need some good protection without having to deal with a whole new skid.

Those don't protect underneath back to the skid like I was talking about Ken.... They do look like good rocker guard protection though.

Maybe just me, but if you need rock sliders why on earth are you still running that worthless stock skid?

Re: rock sliders with factory skid

he is probably like me. i agree with the stock skid not being that good but at least there is a skid. the rockers and underneath the floorboards has no protection at all. also the rock sliders are only between 99 and 300 dollars. thats why i am going with the rocker protection first. my stock skids are still holding up after 300 miles but probably not much longer. i will be replacing the stock skid but i am getting rocker protection first.

I ran my stock skid exactly two rides and replaced it.

You must have softer rocks in AZ than I do in UT

Because I'm running a Thunderhawk Skid Max kit that protects 90% of critical structures, and I am also using the 2012 factory skid that is a lot thicker. I have no concerns about the protection when coupled with the right side protection.

No......I try to avoid rocks and when I hit them I ride slow.I never plow over rocks at speed.

Re: rock sliders with factory skid

No reason the stock skid cant do the job. When you ride obstacles need to be a factor and you should avoid them.AZ has more rocks/boulders then any other state in the nation.A good rider will not damage his machine.

Jim,
