Remove the oil drain plug.
Drain the oil.
Replace the plug.
Change your oil filter.
Add 2 quarts oil.
Crank it up let it idle turn it off check it again.
Or better yet read your manual

I used the service manual that I downloaded for free. Pretty easy with lots of pics. I changed every fluid minus the coolant.

Re: no videos on youtube of an oil change?

my friend saw a video where they took a vacuum pump and sucked the oil out of the engine case threw the dip stick tube. we bought a manual vacuum pump from Lowes, stuck the hose down the dip stick tube, pumped up the vacuum, unbelieveable it worked great. no messing with drain bolts or oil all over the skid plate dripping on the floor in your garage. pump was about $30 and worth every penny. I use the same pump to drain my powerstroke fuel injector oil pump. I can change my oil in 5 min. more time to

Did the same to mine today. Sucked it dry with the Liquivac from Lowes. Getting at the oil filter wasn't so much fun, but once I got the oil filter wrench from Autozone for $6 it became much more possible. Could also go with the K&N filter (it has a removal nut on the end of it).

He's got links to some manuals in the About Me section. Hope that helps.

Re: no videos on youtube of an oil change?

Yup, getting the service manual for your RZR is one of the things you should do the day you buy the machine.

Read through the maintenance sections, make notes in the margins...like you need a 6mm allen head socket to remove the drain plug.

Go by the dealer and buy a few spare drain plug washers.

After you drain the oil from the pan, raise the front of the RZR about 6" and let the oil filter drain. While the front is up, remove and replace the filter. Yeah, getting to the filter can be a pain, so get a pair of Channel Lok filter pliers...then its easy.

Re: no videos on youtube of an oil change?

Try partshark.com for a service manual. I downloaded a manual free off there. Your owner's manual will show all the locations of the fill/drain plugs. I think they are available free online from polaris or a good dealer will give you one. I have found the best/cleanest way to change out the fluids is to remove the factory skid pan. Also, for filling I picked up these cool filler tubes from walmart and some one quart spray bottles. The filler tubes screw on to the bottles and they have a twist/lock so you don't waste any fluid and they work great! Got one each for the front diff, rear diff, and tranny/transfer case.
