What have you had to do to keep your RZR going?

Like the title says what repairs or fixes have you had to do,and what circumstances caused the needed repairs. Did the part just wear out or did it just break. Do you ride agressively or just tool around. Terrain mostly ridden?
Not talking about upgrading pieces actual things that HAD nto be repaired or replaced because of a failure or near failue you caught before going bad.

Heres my list.
First issue was a broken right front spring on my original sachs shocks . dealer told me probably wouldnt be covered because I had 300 + miles and would probably be judged by polaris as possible abuse. machine still looked brand new at the time and had never been intentionally jumped . maybe front wheels left the ground a few time hitting abump but really nothing abusive.
Went ahead and upgraded to WER's didnt really want another spring anyway but wanted to see how the dealer would react so I didnt push the issue. Bought the rzr with the intention to replace the shocks anyway just figured it would last longer than 300 miles.
Second issue-rerouted melted ventlines-totally polaris's fault and dealer said they would replace repair under warranty. I wanted to do it myself to make sure it wouldnt be a problem in the future. No biggie.
Third issue-best I remember 700-800 miles? All bushings ball joints showing excessive wear and or looseness. Out of warranty. I clean and grease my machine after EVERY ride or trip. sometimes I may put 300 miles on it during a trip so at least greased every 300 miles usually probably more like every 150 or so. Bushings were totally shot. I replaced them with new oem bushings and the new ones have about the same miles on them ngain but seem to bei ok. Difference I believe was everything was greased by hand before reassembly to insure at least some grease was coverying every part. Maybe helping them to last longer.
Fourth issue.1250 miles Fan circuit breaker failure. Due to being in a dumbass place between skid and floorboard. I replaced and relocated higher.
Fith issue. 1300 miles Waterpump weeping. I replaced seal, impeller and gasket. I have ridden through a few water crossings, and been through a few mudholes. nothing major though and only ocasionally. I would think they would last longer regardless. I dont see how the guys that mudride all the time keep it going . Regardless rebuilt and good as new.
I ride all types of terrain from Rocky Mountain trails, Arkansas trails, Oklahoma sand dunes(at least 500 of my 1600 miles came from the dune riding. Mostly dry trail riding. Texas trails can be very dusty dry and gritty.
No complaints from me . Been a very dependable machine so far. If it werent for a few small wear items that could be better quality from the factory and what mine does been doin good. If I could only get rid of the stupid squeakin . Usually just turn up the radio to fix that LOL

Re: What have you had to do to keep your RZR going?

On my second RZR. Had to put two rear CV boots on after I put on my lift kit on the first one. Took off the lift kit and put on Makn/Traxs springs. Have the same clearance and no boot problems. Same set up on the newer one. No problems with anything, however, I am a pretty casual trail rider.

Re: What have you had to do to keep your RZR going?

Broke the right rear hub on my 2011 RZR4. Was out running at night, thought I heard some strange noises in the rear. Pulled over got a flashlight and looked around. Couldn't see anything. Started off again and once up to speed I noticed the brakes were getting spongy then gone. Make a quick left to head back to camp and my right rear tire and wheel passed me up !!!!
Lost that OEM hub at 75 hours on a stock, non-jumped machine. It also destroyed the disc brake calipers before breaking loose. Lucky someone found us, had a jack, ziptied the wheel on for a slow 5 mile tow. Replaced the stock cast aluminum crap with UTV Inc Heavy duty billet hubs (rear only, fronts are steel).. No problems since.....

Re: What have you had to do to keep your RZR going?

well at 500 miles i have set the preload all the way up because of the sagging springs, ball joints need to be replaced and all the bushings need to be replaced..i have owned polaris since 2001 and after spending 13k on a machine i didnt expect this after 5 rides or 500 miles with just trail ridding..

1100 miles on my 2010 RZR 4 and have had zero problems. Just doing normal maintenance...oil change, cleaning/replacing air filter, greasing zirks, etc. I don't ride particularly hard however.

Oops...forgot one thing. I did have the infamous squeak! Removed each shock and greased the Heim bearings. Not difficult.

Re: What have you had to do to keep your RZR going?

My squeak was the rear sway bar bushings. Had to remove, clean and grease bushings before re-installing.
