Re: What have you had to do to keep your RZR going?

I agree great machines minimal problems considering what I put it through. Most people have minimal issues seems like but only the ones with problems post the most. Figured if potential buyers see that they are very tough dependable machines instead of the multiple problem threads they would get a better prospective. if anybody has spent much time on here they already figured that out. When I was cconsidering buying my rzr and found this site I was hesitant to buy one when I first started reading all the multiple threads about problems with brand new machines and repettive issues. Melting vent lines weak springs etc etc. But after spending more time on here I believe I was here a couple of months before I finally settled on what I wanted. I was in the beginning looking at 50" models. After researching and reading about the differences I settled on the standard S model. Everything was like I had a crystal ball. Melted my vent lines right away but knew to keep an eye on them so no biggie, broke a spring at 300 miles but expected that because of warnings on here. I didinrt expect it so soon but still no surprise. I have been able to head off almost every problem before it became an issue except the circuit breaker in the floor between the skid and floor but immediately figured out the problem with the help of the forum. All issues have been small minor inconvieniences at best. I do go over my machine from end to end after every trip and check it over again prior to going just for extra insurance. If it even MIGHT be a problem I change ,adjust,or do whatever is necessary to head off trouble before it happens. I probably could have went alot farther on my bushings butglad I went ahead and replaced them when I did. I discovered how dry everything was even though I grease the zerks before every ride.grease doesnr reach all areas . When I had mine apart I cleaned eveything and hand greased it all before re-assembly and THEN greased the zerks. I just hit 1600 miles and bushings are still good. I'll probably disassemble the suspension at 2000 miles and recheck it all to see what kind of wear I actually have and at least reclean and regrease. Matainence is the key. Just like anything else mechanical.
