Turned out to be a great ride this weekend
Just after I bought my RZR S I got moved within my company and now have to spend a lot more time away from home so riding opportunities are not as frequent as I had hoped. Yesterday I found myself with 3 hours to myself so even though it was threating to rain I decided to go for a ride. First thing dead battery (don't know why might write a different post on that later) so 15 minutes later I have it pushed out of the garage and started using the good old jumper cables. OK off we go, we have sandy soil so I was real happy to have the rain because a little moisture in the ground makes the riding conditions really nice. I mostly ride the number 2 snow mobile trial in Michigan's UP (for you locals). First thing I run into is closed gates that had not been closed in the past but I don't let it stop me I find a way around using the rail road grade (it's starting to rain now) I make my way up into an area called stonington that is much more wide open without alll the trees (due to a fire some years back) and no blind corners so I was really able to open up the throttle and see what she could do (raining much harder now) I decide to continue up the trail (on 509 again for you locals) and find a sign that says 25 miles to someplace so now I'm really excited but at that point it was raining so hard I couldn't see through my goggles anymore and had to turn back. On the way home someone I found the gates that had been closed were opened by someone (my rule is I don't go around closed gates but if it's open then it's not my business who opened it) and the sun even popped out.
Should have been kind of a crummy ride with all the problems and stuff but it wasn't. In fact it was the best ride I've had. Just like with the open gates, sometimes stuff just works out I guess.
