Shock Problem - Warranty ?

Before taking to the dealer, I figured I ask if anyone else has had this issue.

Sachs shocks were adjusted to highest setting (raising it up and pulling tires in to get into the bed of the truck). Rode it for a quick lap after unloading, non-aggressive ride and definitely no jumps or anything close). Noticed the adjuster had collapsed over the bottom part (see pic). Went to adjust the other one in the rear and it immediately collapsed over the lower as soon as I started to turn it. Both in the rear, no issue in the front. Only one rider in it and no cargo.

If this is happened, how did you fix it ? I tried lifting it up and compressing the spring, but with the adjuster wrench, it wouldn' move. The spring wasn't even touching the adjuster, but that wrench just slides off too easily. Maybe use a hammer and a rod and just beat it?

If the dealer fixes this, is it warranty work? I don't really care to spend any money on these shocks.

Thanks for any input!

Warranty is only as good as your dealer.
With that said.
Looks like its an issue to be taken care of under warranty.
